Damager character brainstorming 3.5
Spoiler
Above is a reference picture for the speculated character. I have no specific class in mind currently, nor any ideas on feats. The idea behind this is to make a character who does large amounts of damage, uses intimidate alot, and uses two handed weapons. Any ideas?Captured Powers (Avatar List):

Re: Damager character brainstorming 3.5
I don't know exactly but IIRC the zentharim fighter substitution level have a quite a big enphasis in intimidation, also you should get Imperious comand feat from Drow of the Underdark and the fearsome enchancement which lets you intimidate as a move action.
Other than than that..... standard damage increasers? Power Attack, some form of pounce, maybe shoock trooper?

Clearly you should take levels in Avenging Executioner.

Re: Damager character brainstorming 3.5
Do a google search for optimizing fear or optimizing intimidate. There are lots of things you can do. Zhentarum Fighter sub levels is a major one, although that requires at LEAST 9 levels of Fighter (which would be ok with Dungeoncrasher from Dungeonscape).
Dreadful Wrath is a great feat from FRCS. Its regional, so you can only take it at first, but you should be able to port it across to whatever campaign setting you are using. It gives you an intimidate chance when you charge, cast a spell, or full attack. This is good, because 9/10 times you should be charging or full attacking.
Then there is always the shouting Barbarian idea. Intimidating Rage + Immediate Rage + Imperious Command means that you can rage at any time, even in response to bad things. When you rage, you make an intimidate check thanks to Intimidating Rage. If you suceed, Imperious Command makes your enemies cower for a round, thus countering the action that you are responding to. Its called Barbarian Celerity for this reason. Greatest thing is you only need 1 level of Barbarian to do it, but that'll probably require the Extra Rage feat to keep from being a 1 encounter chump.
The reason to stack up fear effects is that each stage of fear comes with a cumulative -2 on just about everything. If you advance a foe from unaffraid to cowering, thats a -6 on saves and a bunch of other things. There are a few other effects that you can stack on top of fear, such as Sickened (Brutal Strike, PHBII), Nausiated (Three Mountains Style, CWarrior), Entangled (net, barbed net, lasso), Staggered (Staggering Strike), etc.
The end goal of all of this is to reduce your foes' AC by so much that you have no problem FULL POWER ATTACKING their face off. PA is easy to multiply through various means. Stack up your debuffs and swing for the fences!

If you're looking for an intimidation-oriented build, there is Takahashi Oni-san by ShneekeyTheLost from this very forum. Effects can be seen here. The character sheet does not give full detail on leveling and such, so you might consider sending a PM to the author.
