Rules Question. Because my brain stopped working.

I'm working on a build for a Tricklock. Nothing too fancy, Rogue-3/Warlock-4/ Arcane Trickster-10. I know I'll me needing The Spell Hand feat, and I think Lesser Aberrant Dragonmark will do it. My problem: I need at least 9ranks in a skill, so can I take the feat needed, or do I need to wait till I get another feat at 9th HD?

your max ranks in a skill are level+3. you will have 9 ranks at 6th level

Yeah, I remember that, but Do you get your skills before or after the level.

I'm reasonably sure this is listed in the PHB, less so in the SRD. If I'm remembering properly, it was feats first.

i always played that they happen at the same time. therefor, if you need 8 ranks in something, you have to wait until 6th level to attain the PRC. dunno if that is RAW, but its how i play.

Skill points, then feats. PHB page 58 (not in the SRD, as it's part of the rules for levelling that they didn't want to make free. Same reason the XP charts aren't SRD.)
