LA buyoff for a Gestalt Character (3.5)
How does LA buyoff work for Gestalt Characters (assuming the LA only applies to one side of the Gestalt)?
Does it slow down both sides of the gestalt?
Does it create 2 independent experience pools, one for each side, where the pool on the LA side is reduced (and gains exp faster due to being lower level)?
Option 2 seems fairer though complicated.SpoilerGaborn in Into the Third Age

Re: LA buyoff for a Gestalt Character (3.5)
LA-buyoff is simply not needed in a gestalt game where LA only applies to one side.

Re: LA buyoff for a Gestalt Character (3.5)
How would it slow down both sides? How does that work?
The only way I can see it working is if the character is allowed to swap in a class level for the bought-off LA.
Exactly. The penalties of LA are minimized, and the problematic elements eliminated, if it's allowed all on one side.

Check with DM. Rules doesn't say.
Without changing too much, xp is for both sides. Using xp reduces both side then.
