Re: Diplomacy ITP
I definitely think that we should grab replacements for Russia and Turkey before continuing.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Retreats are:
French fleet to Wales.
I've retreated the Russian fleet Stevastopol so that the player who takes them over isn't too disadvantaged and PM'd players asking if they'd like a seat.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Coups in the East!
After a year of civil unrest, strong leaders have now emerged in Russia and Turkey. Murska become the new Tsar of Russia, and Nailuj has emerged in control after a coup. Nailuj said "Turkey will be one of the greatest superpowers the world has ever seen!" and Murska released a statement saying "That will teach the old leader for always stealing my lunch money at school."*
They intend to lead their respective countries to greatness in Europe, and extend a hand of friendship to all willing to aid them.*
In other news, Swiss scientists invented a machine for turning platinum into gold!
Also, we now enter diplomatic phase Autumn 1902.
This ends on 12th August (8pm EST, midnight BST) with the deadline for moves being 24 hours after that.
*In the interests of play, those quotes were made up entirely by me.Last edited by Capt Spanner; 2010-08-03 at 08:25 AM.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Just so you all know, I forgot to put a French Army in Burgandy. It should be there. Letting you know in case this affects your plans. The map has now been corrected to reflect this.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
So I totally misread the date and gave you lot a double length move. Err...I mean, I hope you appreciated the double length move to let the new players integrate fully.
In any case, diplomacy phase over, please send me your moves in the next 24 hours by PM. If you haven't subscribed to this thread, please do that too.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
I thought the extra time was a little odd, but I can't say that I'm not thankful for it as I almost missed my moves anyhow.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Cool. Here's a summary of disbanding/gaining units:
Results:
Austria disbands A War and F Gre
England disbands F MAO
France gains a fleet in Mar
Germany gains an army in Mun
Italy creates a fleet in Rom
Russia creates a fleet in StP (NC)
Turkey creates an army in Ank.
Also, many thanks to those of you keeping me updated on your behind the scenes stuff. It will make writing the game report far easier, and more in depth.
It is now Spring 1903. Diplomacy ends 20th August, moves by 21st August, please.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
There are errors with the French units again. I've still got the army in Burgundy and the army in Liverpool is actually a fleet.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Thanks, that's now been corrected. MS Paint is not the ideal tool for maintaining the map...
For those unsure, if information conflicts, the "Moves so far" list takes precedence over other sources of information, though I welcome corrections to other information, naturally.
(In other news, I'm thinking of getting rid of the "List of unit positions" and replacing it with a list of controlled supply centres. The former doesn't add anything you couldn't get from the map and is kinda tricky to maintain, while the former may actually be useful sometimes. Any major objections to this?)

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Bah, I don't even remember if I sent my moves! I'll get on that unless I've already done such.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
Yes you did. Oops. Had you on that list by mistake. Sorry.
As always, any errors on the map or elsewhere, post in this thread.
Austria
A Trieste - Vienna
A Galicia - Budapest
A Serbia supports A Galicia - Budapest
England:
A Norway - Sweden
F Nat - Clyde (Stand off with French fleet in Liverpool)
F English Channel - Brest (Stand off with French fleet in Brest).
France:
A Spain to Gascony
F Mar to Spain (SC)
F Brest to English Channel (Stand off with English fleet in ENG)
A Bel supports Holland
A Bur to Picardy
F Liverpool to Clyde (Stand off with English fleet in NAt)
Germany:
(Munich - Bohemia)
Tyrolia Supports Munich - Bohemia
Prussia - Silesia
F Denmark - North Sea
Fleet Sweden - Norway (Dislodged by English army from Norway, with support from Russian fleet BOT)
Italy:
A Budapest move to Trieste
A Venezia assist A Budapest in its move to Trieste

A Roma assist A Venezia
Russia:
F StP NC - Nwy
F BOT S A Nwy-Swe
A War S A Ukr - Gal
A Ukr - Gal
F Rum Holds
Turkey:
MIA
I'm not sure whether or not to replace Turkey. There isn't anyone "on the bench" as it were, so I'd have to actively search for a replacement. It might take some time, by which time Turkey may be so behind they have very little influence anyway.
Anyway, there is one retreat to resolve, then we'll get onto Autumn 1903, hopefully tomorrow night.Last edited by Capt Spanner; 2010-08-22 at 08:28 PM.

Re: Diplomacy ITP
The German army in Sweden retreats to Skagerak.
If the map hasn't updated, try doing a full refresh (Ctrl + F5 in most browsers). A normal refresh may use the old map from the cache.
I've also added
Germany: A Hol holds to the move list.
