traps feasible in real life.
Say you (as in real life you) have found a tome ancient lore, and being bewitched by it's power have decided to summon a demon into the real world. Assume that you have access to any number of chemicals, anything you can find in a home improvement/wal-mart/etc store, and can have any lay out to your lair. What traps do you set up to stop the inevitable hero raid?
The Precarious Gas Bomb:
Two large vials are filled with ammonia and bleach and have been placed on two pegs intersecting a door frame. One peg is on the door and one is on the wall next to it, across the hall there are many high powered fans pointing away from your operations center and toward the door. If any significant force hits the door or wall (like someone trying to break down the door) then the two vials fall and break, the bleach and ammonia and bleach mix making chlorine gas. The fans then push the gas into the faces of the heroes, burning out their lungs.Last edited by Shinizak; 2010-07-09 at 02:40 PM.

Re: traps feasible in real life.
Hmm... Personally I'm fond of homemade explosive devices, like AN/FO, and thermite. And homemade propane fueled flamethrowers.
Nail bombs, very deadly. Flamethrowers placed to trigger when a door is opened, like a shotgun trap.Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Re: traps feasible in real life.
Sheriff of Moddingham: This isn't really appropriate here. We're not going to host a trap-making thread here.
