Actually, they are Hermione. They are fairly advanced (capable of high quality steel producation) and quite a bit larger than the local Halmes. Also they seem a lot more agressive.

No clue how so many gopt into the city or way they are there.

Yeah Vikings make a fairly good parallel. Oddly enough this situation puts the Halms and Fae on bascially the same side.

I recall some earlier concept art for the Hermione (can't find it now though) and while they were still taller they didn't have the huge fangs or look so beastial.

Well, someone is making a "Do or Die" effort to take out Snad's. And it looks like the "Die" will happen. But he may have scored some points by getting people to think/question and hurt her plans in the long run. Hope Silice and company does not come calling. I have a feeling it will be a bloodbath.

I feel sorry for Rann there, but someone has to be the first one over top and it was very brave of Rann to be that guy.

I only hope that others will follow up on the attack. Now's the time. It could work if they just pile on. Saddy has simply made too many enemies over the years. There's, like, fifty named characters that have valid reasons to want her dead.
