Re: The New Pathfinder Classes
Are we referring to Pathfinder core or APG classes like Summoner?
Assuming APG:
1) Summoner had so much potential, but now he is less a summoner (limited to 1 summon spell at a time, Eiodolon counts sadly) and more an Eiodolancer.
He has a decent spell list/spells known.
Without the nerfs that playtesting caused it would have been great.
2) Cavalier: Similar to Knight in PHB 2, but different also.
Challenge is a gamble as you take penalty to AC (everyone but target). But increased damage vs that target.
Good leader type as he grants tactic feats.
They want you to be a uber charger as they improved charging on a mount.
Order grants bonus like
Dragon, Lion means buff allies.
Cockatrice means you can kill steal maybe.
Shield reduces damage.
Star: self buff
Sword: better mount fighting
3) Inquisitor: Combat Divine bard. Monster hunter.
Change from building up in bonus to set level based bonus.
Can make weapon Bane, etc.
4) Oracle: New CoDzilla. Ther is the curse mechanic, but except for Deaf (can't communicate since no hear).
The rest are minor curses (although Clouded vision is limiting, no big penalty)
Battle Mystery makes you have DR/Adamantine, move as immediate action, and the final cap stone rocks.
Most mysterys are hit or miss. But decent class.
5) Witch: full caster + extra powers.
Definately useful. Surpringly they never nerfed the class.
6) Alchemist: Bard-like casting but can't give others your "potions" unless have right mystery.
Mutagen do seem to suck, but the bombs are useful.
