Your Maternal Grandmama is fantastic. But I wouldn't want a small family, so I'm okay with wha I have. Especially as I get to buy most of my own earrings.
I'm eyeballing a dangly pair which has turquoise feathers and beads.

Luckily I get the relatively big family on the other side, where there are seven girl cousins and six boy cousins, plus plenty (read: about eight) honorary cousins who might as well be part of that branch. On my mum's side I just have the sibs and then two boy cousins.

That's great luck. When we did our housing we were aiming for two small houses almost-next-door to each other to fit all seven of us. "THey won't be taken," they said, "They're hidden gems." they said.
They were taken.
So were scattered up and down on the same road, two in one house, two in another and three in another. In fourth year accomodation.
This is meant to be good quality stuff.
The house myself and Lawyer Friend in has only nine occupants, and we're not sure if all the rooms'll be full, so we might have semi-free run of the place.
There are Medecine students though.
However, we're probably going to get on amicably with them at the least. Unless one of them's a happy-go-lucky-lots-of-drink-and-noisy-friends type person.

Sad not to get the rooms you want. We're in the all-women's dorm, aka the least- or second-least-desirable at the school, because I guess girls want to live with boys. Which is okay. I wouldn't mind either if it weren't also the nicest and cleanest dorm on campus with the biggest rooms. So, you know, that's a plus. But anyway, roomie and I got our first choice.

With your first years you'll be able to shape them to your will. Do eet!

I've never ever been in one-gender accomodation. Not even in primary school.
I don't count school comps as our midnight feasts were practically all-nighters. And Guides doesn't count as it's a girls-only thing anyway.
Still the pluses are so good that I'd have chosen to go there anway.

My college does it once every three years; and this year's the year.
And the college ball committee made a Nutcracker Ball with a white tie attendance.
