Drain Incarnum Shenanigans?

I was just leafing through Magic of Incarnum today and I noticed the "Drain Incarnum" warlock invocation.

While it seems weak overall, I'm interested in the fact that it's at-will wisdom damage in most cases.

Is there any way to attach that invocation to iterative attacks? It seems like it would increase the utility a fair bit.

IIRC it would work with the Eldritch Glaive Blast Shape Invocation, from Dragon Magic.

But if you want to deal ability damage, there are many other more efficient means.

There are definitely better ways to deal ability damage, but I'd like to see if I can make this one viable.

Drain Incarnum isn't listed as an essence; can it still be combined with Eldritch glaive?
