    Default Ancestral Item Familiar

So, I had a fleeting thought today. Making a magic item your familiar (Item Familiar, UA p170) is a heavy commitment. You make your favorite +2 Flaming Burst Greatsword your familiar, and now you feel awesome. What happens when you run across the +1 Brilliant Energy Greatsword or such later on in the campaign? Sell it to boost your familiar?

BoED provides an alternate option: Heirloom Weapon (Ancestral Relic, BoED p39). You can now fuel your familiar with pure, unsold magic items, eliminating the need to accept them at half value.

What do you guys think? Not optimized, blowing two feats on a single weapon, but I definitely love the flavor.

Are there any other specific-weapon feats out there? I'd like to see how many can be stacked on one weapon, or even if a build could be made worth the feat expenditure.

Take Kensei, the PRC from i think CW that lets you add up to +10 worth of upgrades to your weapon free.
