"Are you ready to go? We can show Archer his new home." Sunny asks Carl, knowing he has a few days off. Of course his leave is probably about to be cancelled.

A robot telewarps in with a large handcart full of puppy supplies from MagMart. Presumably it's allowed in after being scanned to make sure Magtok didn't sneak a bomb into the kibble.

Carl grabs his bag and smiles. "Sure. Also, have you heard of the fighting championship that sprang up?"

The dog food is allowed in without trouble.

"No. Is it a game? Or for real?" Sunny says, heading with Carl towards her car. Luckily it's been cleaned out and disinfected by now.

And squeaky toys. And tennis balls. Don't forget the tennis balls!

The Rec Centre is soon turned into Puppy HQ.

"It appears to be for a prize, so it seems real enough. A couple of the guys and I were wondering if we should make a team for it." he admits as he hops into the car with the puppy.

"But the fight isn't real, right? Like..." she tries to think of the word 'sparring' and fails. "... like when you fight someone your friends with, to practice?"

Sunny lets RDO drive this time, and sits in the back seat with Archer.

"Oh. I think people would get hurt, but nothing too serious. I doubt we'll be trying to kill each other. Besides, we'd be wearing our armor." He explains as he watches the gates pass and they head towards home.

Vasquez and Jyarl both frown when the see the maps. Bad maps, could easily mean death for an entire team, but it was better than nothing. "Anything you haven't told us?" The woman asks, her displeasure obvious. "Or should we have someone pull the details from your mind?"

"I'm not letting any one in my head, sorry. and I have left nothing out"

Vasquez nods and calls in Anna, one of the combat mages. She enters, wearing her armor and gives the room a nod. "You the one?" She asks Din.

Without any preamble, Anna tries to set her hands on either side of Din's head. If she does, there's a sudden eruption of pain throughout her entire body as Anna's magics work through her nerves and into her mind. It'll feel like hot lead going through her brain as she searches for the details of the place.

It'll last only a few moments, and when she finishes, the pain suddenly stops.

If she gets what she's looking for, the mage will take Din's map and fix it.

Oh, by the way, Vasquez lies.

one or two details are added, including where the entrance to the sewers must be at the hermitage, but she only has second hand knowledge of them.

Din is silent, and stares at her knees. after a little while she speaks, still not looking up "...bastards...is that what the empire does to people willing to help?"

Delisle silently pours a shot of whiskey and offers it to Din.

Vasquez glares at Din, obviously taking offense. "No, that's not what the Empire does. That's what I do. If I had time to be gentle, I would have told her to be. This is a time sensitive situation, isn't it? I'd rather spend 15 seconds getting what I need to know than an hour being gentle and maybe not getting all of it. So, if you're going to blame someone, blame the ***** who tricked you instead of the people she works for, got it?" The glare lessens just a bit. "Now, is there anything else, or can I gather a few teams?"

Vasquez nods and leaves with Anna, even though Jyarl stays behind. He gives a bit of a smirk. "Don't worry, I won't repeat anything you say."

"Jyarl, can you wait outside please?" Delisle asks.

Jyarl frowns, but leaves as requested.

Delisle pours another shot for Din. "I'm sorry. I didn't know she was going to do it that way."

For what it's worth, she sounds sincere.

Sunny and Carl arrive outside by telewarp portal, and go in, where Sunny "listens" to all of Carl's equipment to make sure it's in perfect working order.

Elsewhere, puppy whining can be heard as RDO the robot takes Archer the pug puppy to the Rec Room.

Carl's equipment is all okay, and after a moment, four others step up and ask her to check their gear as well. Taul, Arla, and Carol.

Sunny does that as well, then hands it back. "Your equipment is ready for action." She gives a tight smile, then says to all of them, "Don't die."

Jyarl walks in and offers his bulky pistol for her to look at. "We won't." He says, fully believing that. She'll feel that his bolt pistol is very well taken care of, and seems to enjoy his touch. It also screams to be used to cleanse the heretics from the world.

Sunny holds the gun a moment, enjoying the feel of such a well-cared for machine, and for a moment feels the urge to actually take it by the grip and hold it as if she's going to fire. "I can't. I'm not a soldier," she says to the gun, and hands it back to Jyarl. "She wants to be used," she says to him seriously, completely unaware of any innuendo in her words.
