    Default Warmage, Beguiler, Dread Necro.....

    Hey all.

I'm sure it has come up before but has anyone made more Tier 3ish casters like these?

you know, a diviner, a transmuter stuff like that?

Damn right I did! My homebrew sig contains the Rearranger, the Savant, and the Summoner, all of which are in this vein (Transmutation, Divination/Abjuration, and Conjuration, respectively). They've all be play-tested, and though the Savant needs some reworking, the other two are quite solid.

I think I've seen an Oracle and a Summoner somewhere on these boards.

Me too. Elemental casters, in the sig.
Subclasses for 5E: magus of blades, shadowcraft assassin, spellthief, void disciple
    Guides for 5E: Practical fiend-binding

D&D Remix for 3.x: balanced base classes and feats, all in the authentic flavor of the originals. Most popular: monk and fighter.

Arguskos, Why did you make them prepared casters?

Half the point of the 3 I asked about is the "you know all the spells on your list" thing.

My Puppet Master focuses on summons and buffs, and is a full-list caster.

The rules for the puppet are massively over-wordy, though.

My sig contains a summoner class, which has been somewhat playtested and found to be balanced. It draws somewhat from Arguskos's version of the same thing. Thanks again by the way, Arguskos.

They're not all prepared, IIRC, but it's been awhile since I checked. It was just a thematic decision in general. If you don't like it, just change it. It doesn't change anything balance-wise.

I made another class that works the same way, but I've never posted it for laziness reasons. My version of The Witch. I'd post it if someone wanted to do the work of table-ing it for me, as, like I said, I'm too lazy to do it myself.

A table's hardly difficult to do: gimme BAB, Saves, and 20 levels worth of a Special column, and I'll do it for you.

My solution is just look for somebody else who made a base class, then quote the first post and steal their table, replacing their info with my own.

Not difficult, just time consuming. I've done it before. Your help is appreciated, since I dont have the time or patience to do this myself since I'm working on an entire campaign setting plus trying to write an adventure for next week's game.

    1- Summon Familiar, Specialization
    2- Hex 1/day, Woodland Stride
    3- Brew Potion

Heh, not a problem; some RegEx wizardry means I don't really spend very long on it:
