Looking for a Shield fighter build (Pathfinder)

I've seen builds based off of fighting with/throwing shields for 3.5, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with such a thing for Pathfinder.
Assume 15 point buy, Pathfinder only, and one of the two traits must be a campaign trait.
Characters are currently at 6th level, but this is just a backup character I want to work on in case my alchemist dies...

I'm not very experienced with PF, but the PF paladin handbook discusses TWFing with a shield to some length, and makes it seem like a rather intriguing option.

Pathfinder's Advanced Players guide game out this month. In the class options there is a shield using fighter. Along with new feats that use shields.

Damn. If this wasn't PF only, you would've wanted Bloodstorm Blade from the ToB.

I know... I'm quite familiar with 3.5, but pathfinder not so much..
It's not a huge rush, as this is a backup character I'm working on in case my alchemist dies but...
