It'd be a sweet subversion if he walks up to the edge of doing the dramatically appropriate thing, knows exactly what he's doing... and then decides he'd rather do what's better for his family than do the obvious, genre-savvy-appropriate, ala #670,, IMO the sweetest Elan x Haley moment ever. It'd be cute to see that mirrored...
