How about this as a concept...

Gestalt Pixie Warlock//Dread Necromancer.

Take Tomb-tainted Soul, Corspe-crafter, Destructive Retribution...

Use the warlock invocation "The Dead Walk" to get even more undead unlimited.

Which class would take the LA hit? I would suggest warlock just so you can get higher level spells. Once you get undead mastery at 8th level you are gonna be rolling in undead.

If it were me, I would zombify an ogre and hollow out its skull and then outfit it with a mini-throne for necromantic intimidation factor.

Only one of the many reasons DragonMech is a great campaign setting. Zombie Ogre mecha are only the tip of the zombified ice berg.
