    Default detect evil sickness

    hello playgrounders,

My memory may just be being a little wonky, but I seem to remember reading..... somewhere (until a few moments ago I thought the SRD) that if a paladin/cleric/whatever used detect evil/chaos/good/law whatever, (opposite alignment)

and the source of the alignment was x levels higher than them, they suffered a negative effect such as 'dizzy for x rounds' or something.

however, now I can't seem to find such a thing.

is this actually written down somewhere? or am I misremembering and its time to brew a houserule?

    thanks in advance

    The spell description.

If you are of good alignment, and the strongest evil aura’s power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura’s source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends.

    ....ooops

missed that bit, I thought it was it's own lil chart, and that a greater difference in hit die led to a greater effect

Well, it can always hurt a lot anyway.

Losing your turn when something twice your hit dice is nearby is enough.

Could be a comical for a high level baddy to waltz over an order of paladins.
