D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
So long story short, I have a player who wants to try an Archaic Jedi for D&D 3.5 This would be a Jedi from so "long ago" in the general Star Wars setting that there would be no lightsaber, Jedi Order JUST being founded, etc. but I simply cannot find a decent one in searching. Meaning either I fail at searching, or there aren't any. So I challenge you! Someone help me find a decent Jedi base class that works in 3.5, or can be converted that doesn't use the saber.

Re: D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
The easiest and fastest way would be to use the Jedi Guardian/Jedi Consular classes directly from the SWRPG d20. Not sure if the Saga Edition would port to 3.x, but the revised edition would just fine.

Re: D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
Well using normal 3.5 matirial, A tome of battle class would work like a Swordsage or Wareblade. But i think the most fitting would be a Psychic Warrior, and if you want something like a lightsaber but archaic you could try a adamantium sword (Ignores hardness of objects) and then throw on a flaming or other element damage for colour effect
Personally I would go for PsyWarrior and get the feats that let him run up walls, and mabye use the martail adept feats for Jedi style manuevers

Re: D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
Warblade with Diamond Mind and Iron Heart stuff mixed with Psion (kineticist or telepath) going into Jade Phoenix Mage adapted for manifesters instead of arcane spellcasters.
A few manipulation and movement skill tricks would help as well.Last edited by Morph Bark; 2010-10-12 at 08:14 AM.

M-Bark's suggestion is money.
I think Eladriel has a solid Manifester/Initiator prestige class patch running around somewhere also.
Edit:
Found it! Obligatory Link below.

Ziegander did something like that recently called the Esper Knight. It's a really cool option, incarnum use in a different way that is both flavorful and neat.
DaTedinator also did a really awesome Tome of Battle version, two Prestige Classes and a Discipline (Mental Grip). Definitely worth checking out if you're into Tome of Battle.

Re: D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
None of the folks I ever run games for or play with are optimizers, most are the base class only types, so we rarely see mixtures. FOund out we had a copy of the old SW rulebook for d20, the one that's very similar to d20 modern. I'm converting a Jedi Consular for her, but thanks for the replies guys, was hoping for something easier, but just gives me something to make my player feel more special :)

Re: D&D 3.5 Jedi? Help
I'd just use the Psychic Warrior.
