[3.5] Character creation utility
So, I was thinking about creating an utility to create characters more easily. It would be similar to the character creation/lvlup interface in neverwinter nights, where you added level after level of a class, always choosing only from the options that you meet the requirements for. It would be primarily intended for gonerating NPCs much more quickly, the only limitation is that if I want it to be usable by the general public, it would be limited to core only
It could also be used to buy gear more quickly, etc.
What do you think, would such an utility be useful? Would you use it? Is there any way of using material form outside core?
EDIT: oh, I hope this is the right sub-forum to open this topic inLast edited by weenie; 2010-10-14 at 09:38 AM.

Re: [3.5] Character creation utility
I know of at least 3 such chargen engines already, not counting the one WotC gave out in the early days of 3.0: Heroforge, PCGen, and the Pathguy online tool.
In what way would you be differentiating yours from theirs?

There's also the Redblade utility, which allows you to add new classes and prestige classes with their abilities, you make a character very simply.
