Optimizing sense motive
Well, i apologize if this thing has already been discussed, but i seem to be unable to find ways to get a hefty bonus on sense motive, there does not seem to be any synergy bonus aout there or anything, and i don't find magic items that will help me through, i am playing a cleric though so... i can always cast zone of truth and other spells for that matter, but i'm searching for a way to get an optimized sense motive check without the need of spells.
Anyone knows a way?

Re: Optimizing sense motive
Skill bonus (competence) on a magic item is bonus squared x 100 gold. It's not that bad.

Re: Optimizing sense motive
Thx for the quick response!!
now about the comments...
Hmm... so to get a +10 bonus i would have to spend about 10k gold? not so badd... i guess this comes from the MiC? I remember seeing something like that now that you mention it
wel, that would be a psionic feat, i neither me nor my group know how that works... can it be refluffed for casters?

Re: Optimizing sense motive
Church Inquisitor is a pretty neat little PrC worth 4-6 levels IMO. You get a lot of neato abilities including the ability to make will saves against illusions just by LOOKING at them. Also has Sense Motive as a class skill and, IIRC, a Sense Motive based class feature.
Oh, and smacking the druid on the rump and having her turn back into an elf chick is all kinds of hillarious in my book.
