Thaumaturgist question...
...what is the best planar cohort for me? I mean there are several choices, but I am not sure which i should pick. I am currently Clr7/Tha5, LN Wee Jas.
To my understanding the cohort will progress in level as I do.

Re: Thaumaturgist question...
Well, for maximum cheese, Efreeti would probably be the best. 3 Wishes per day at no cost to you. Most sane DM's would prevent such abuse, but it's an option if you're pursuing a Lawful Evil goal.
From a flavor perspective, a Lawful Neutral Cleric of Wee Jas would probably be most comfortable with a Marut as a Planar Ally. See if you can get your DM to give you a less-powerful version of it now, leveling up to a standard Marut when you get to level 17.

Re: Thaumaturgist question...
Movanic devas are good (FF, I think). They have some solid casting abilities, and progressing one as a cleric is not a bad idea.
