Energy Current + paraelemental power?

If I manifest Energy Current, and apply paraelemental (Complete Psionic) power to it, do the effects of paraelemental power apply on each round I concentrate or just the first round?

I suppose this may also come up with Burrowing Power.

The Paraelemental effects appear to last only for 1 round. However, the tricky part is that EC has a duration, so an additional effect on "the following round" could mean one of three possibilities.

1) The Paraelemental effect takes place the round after the target initially takes damage, and ends during the round after that.
2) The Paraelemental effect takes place the round after the target initially takes damage, and is continually reapplied each round until the Energy Current ends.
3) The Paraelemental effect takes place the round after the Energy Current ends.

(2) is the strongest interpretation while (3) is the weakest, so I'd probably go with (1) to split the difference.
