Need help on character creation

So I am a typical min maxer and I have never play pathfinder before. I'm somewhat experienced with 3.5, but not so much about 3.75. Although I do know that pathfinder is a modification on 3.5.
The question is that now I want to make a new character, and not the big 3. So I was wondering if builds like King of Smack, Ubercharger, The Twice-Betrayer of Shar, etc are still compatible with pathfinder.

If not, what are the optimized builds in pathfinder?

3.75 lacks the incredibly large amount of splatbooks that 3.5 has. I'd recommend a gnome alchemist (if your DM allows the one extra book in there,) and get Vital strike, so you can increase your damage without wasting extra bombs. Also get a hand crossbow and a lot of poisons.

Sorcerers and fighters are also more playable, but not as big as the big three.

I don't know much about Pathfinder. However how about trying to somewhat be original in making a new powerful build than the known ones. Basically put try to make a new powerful build.
