[3.5] Alternative Special Mounts?
I saw someone mention a way to designate something like a Pegasus as a Paladin's Special Mount in some sort of form or fashion, perhaps similar to the manner of alternative animal companions? Is this possible through any means other than specific prestige classes such as Aglarond Griffin Rider, Knight of the Iron Glacier, Bone Knight, or that sandworm dragoon PrC from Sandstorm?
All I've seen on the matter have been the Drakkensteed ACF and I think an elf substitution level/ACF that gives a unicorn in addition to the Prestige Classes and the Dragon Steed feat.
So did I miss something or was that just bad information?

Re: [3.5] Alternative Special Mounts?
I was previously unaware of this list, but I plan to make use it when my current character reaches a high enough level.
