Overwhelming or not it was necessary. He creates a tower shield for himself to defend against the attacks. He rushes at the constructs and thrusts his sword at the chest of the nearest one.

Kojare, small, quite nimble, and not used to employing these power ring thingies, forgets about using his and falls back on dodging around between legs and such. "Grace? Still zoned out over there, are you?" With frustration, he switches his blaster to fire stun bolts and fires at one of the constructs, figuring that it might at least scramble what counts for brains for these things.

Rae's ring arm is hit, though it is protected by his coat, magically reinforced to protect as well as mythril chainmail. It still hurts, though. Judging from his yelp, it hurts a lot. He takes his hand out of his pocket, a black-bladed sword following it out, and slashes at the construct's head. At the same time, he punches at the construct's stomach with a fist of blue energy.

Have to finish this quickly.

The combined attacks of Rae shatter the already wounded construct into pieces... just in time to let him see the leader of them finally taking action, charging in at him. It is far swifter than the others were, and it had taken advantage of Rae's preoccupied state to try and get a blow in before he could react. It aims for his chest, and strikes hard enough that he may be thrown out of the air and towards his own shield.

As luck would have it, Kojare stuns one of the constructs...
...just as it moves to try and defend itself against Nite, who manages to plunge his sword through the now motionless construct's chest. Still, there are four left, and they've moved into a diamond formation that surrounds the pair. With a swift motion, they unleash numerous, crossing blasts of force that will be extremely hard to avoid as they coat the area.

The building looks like it is nearly complete.

Rae is struck in the chest. His jacket isn't buttoned up, and his shirt provides much less protection. Yeah, that's a broken rib, possibly two. He is thrown back and he crashes against his shield, which shatters. He falls, but recovers before he can hit the ground.

That's it.

Rae's eyes glow a deep blue as he raises his right hand toward the leader, his sword disappearing and his sleeve shooting out toward him, forming into a spike at the end. A mythril-strong spike.

Nite creates a barrier around Kojare in case he can't move in time. Nite leaps in the air to avoid the blasts, but several catch him in the legs. He crashes to the ground, his legs shattered.

Kojare laughs with relief, when he stuns the construct, but he makes a little sympathetic noise, as Nite destroys it. Nevertheless, he tosses the guy a quick, "Not bad!" before the hail of blasts starts up, at which point, he creates a small cocoon of energy for himself and Nite. He looks up at Rae and, seeing him in trouble, nods upwards and growls to Nite, "Urgh... Help him!"

To edit, ah, well, I suppose that he could let the shield pass around him, as he's coming back down.

The construct leader raises a shield in response, but the spike bursts through and manages to wedge through the shield and into its arm. It might have been worse if it hadn't blocked, but one of its arms is nearly useless now. Not bothering to try and free itself from the spike, or muster a more significant defense, it throws its cudgel at Rae. Rather strange action, really.

The shield around Nite and Kojare manage to deflect numerous force bolts, which ricochet off pretty wildly, sowing some confusion among their attackers. One of them is unluckily caught in a vital area and is destroyed. It won't take long for the remaining three to regroup though.

Rae tries to bat the cudgel away with a hand of blue energy before it gets too close. The spiked end of his sleeve opens up, and a jet of flames shoots out at the leader.

No, handle yourselves and protect Grace!

Rae yells down to Nite and Kojare.

Kojare, being a hunter and used to always waiting for the perfect time to strike, lowers his shield and fires several stun bolts at the three reeling constructs. He brings it back up, whether he hits any of them or not, at which point, he shouts to Rae, "Nobody's gonna think any less of you, if you need to take a breather, pal!"

Nite's legs are indeed shattered. And he falls back into the range of the shield. He throws a spike of energy at one of the constructs from the ground.

"Damnit." He growls and fires off another spike.

As soon as the hand of energy strikes the cudgel, the cudgel explodes in a wave of energy as if it were a grenade. This is followed up and augmented by a blast the leader shoots after it, trying to pin Rae to the ground and put him out of the picture indefinitely.

Kojare manages to hit one of of them with his rays, and another is struck with the spikes from Nite, wounding it quite badly. However, the last advances quickly on them, raising its cudgel...

Grace's voice rings out, strangely cold and mechanical, but this time in a language they understand.
"Process Complete."
A hot wind rushes out from the now completed building as the magical forces creating it fade, their last energy sweeping outward and across the battlefield. The remaining wounded and stunned constructs and swept apart, while the leader is thrown out of the air and to the ground- still alive, but barely.

Rae throws up a shield of blue energy to block the attacks coming for him, but without an active green ring around, it isn't enough to stop them completely. The attack knocks him to the ground, but doesn't pin him there, although it breaks another rib in the process. He gets up and walks over to the leader, examining him and seeing if there is anything he can do to keep him alive. Giving him holy energy, perhaps?

Kojare raises a hand as the wind sweeps by, and, once he sees that the constructs look to have been pretty much defeated, he checks on Nite's legs. As he examines them as a mechanic would, he calls out to Grace, "You back with us, now, Grace?" He shakes his head at the shattered legs and grumbles, "There's too many things here that I don't know about! I'm sorry, but I don't think that I'm the kind of mechanic you'll need for this." He glances over at Rae and, "Tch!"s, regretfully.

To clarify something I'd forgotten before, Nite is made of iron on the inside and ebony on the outside and some of the inside. Kojare will see that the inside of Nite's legs are made of plywood. "Probably not."

The leading angelic construct seems to be in no pain and isn't unstable- but won't really be able to manage much combat soon.
"May the heavens forgive you for what you've done."
It says to Rae as he nears, closing its eyes. The light within it seems to flickering strangely...

Grace seems to be rather drained from what she was doing, but nods in response to Kojare's question. She takes a look around them, and seems rather startled (and unnerved) by the amount of destruction that appears to have taken place.
"I didn't think they'd put up that much resistance."

Margaret is teleported in; her player hopes not to need to leave the house to eat.

The heavens that I'm heading for already have enough reasons to be angry at me, this probably won't do much.

Rae says, kneeling down and seeing if he can channel some of his energy into the construct. As little casualties as necessary, there have already been too many today.

As his foot touches the ground, the grass begins to spark slightly. Not enough to be noticed by many, but enough that, eventually, the forest will burn.

Burn to ashes.

Kojare creates a gurney for Nite and whatever bits of him are lying around. Although he's a bit distracted by keeping that up, he turns to Grace and asks, patiently, "And what was all of that about? You couldn't have chosen a site that wouldn't make someone mad?"

The leader of the constructs explodes in Rae's face, with quite a hefty blast of concussive force.
Ouch.

Grace sighs.
"It isn't the site, it's the Heavenly Bureaucracy. It wouldn't have mattered what I was doing, as long as I was channeling significant energy and resources from Celestial Dynamics. They would have made up a reason to come after us.
"Basically, they're of the belief that they should have a monopoly on creating worlds and judging over the people within them. Celestial Dynamics... objects. We've a long history between us."

She takes a seat, feeling a bit too weak to try and help Kojare gather up Nite.
"I won't say they're all bad, but I believe the basic premise of their organization is flawed, and restricts the liberty and rights of those who should have the freedom to choose what they want."

Nite just groans in pain as he is lifted. "Some warning would have been nice." he says to Grace.

Metta glances around the forest.

"I suspect there is a hermit nearby. I am going to go and ki- have a deep and meaningful chat with him.

With fire.

And dark magic.

And reanimation."

"Warning? Beyond 'hey, I'm making new headquarters, but our competitors are going to have their attention attracted to what we're doing, so I need guards to fend them off?' What else did you want me to tell you?"
Grace asks, looking a bit confused.
"I mean, I even told you what form the threat would take, which was mostly accurate, if a bit more forceful than I expected."

If that last blast messed Rae up in much of a significant way, Kojare would lift him up, too. Anyone that he's lifting would then be taken inside the new base. On his way in, he'd bob his head at Margaret and reach out one of his many hands for shakeage. "Welcome home! Hopefully, we won't be moving too often." Noting her cybernetics, he nods his head at Nite. "Someone objected to us setting up shop here. Think you can help patch this guy up? Or, do either of you have a mechanic you can call?"

As he passes Grace, he'll, "Hrm..." disapprovingly, when she just sits down (well, he doesn't know how much that took out of the lady). "Then maybe we should have gone to Rae's place. Will they keep trying to undo this?"
