Grace growls at Andy's continual persistence in not even trying.
"What kind of hero are you? Are you so insistent on giving up before you've even begun? If this is all you can do, then I'll manage without your teaching. What would someone like you know of determination and willpower?"
Grace slowly gets to her feet, one shaking hand pulling out her pen- er, trident. The gleaming weapon crackles menacingly in her hand, though its wielder is looking far less capable due to her current weakness.
She shakes her left arm a little to pull down the sleeve of her jacket, revealing the silver charm on her bracelet.

"Your.. your right I tend to forget this after I missed to help others."

The green wall dissapears and instead a speed ramp appears. It goes on to shoot Andy against The dome. ((Just a note Andys arm isn#t normal metal and the core unit is draining magic if it is in contact. Not many but noticable.)).
He tries to smash a hole in it and if it works he will close the hole behind him.

"I will not lat this happen again."

Finally. Still irritated, but glad she could get some sense into him, Grace lightly puts a finger over her charm.
Requesting emergency energy release, first level.

Might take a little, but she'd needed it...

She refocuses her shield, trying to put it to another use- she saw the others flying earlier with it, maybe she could at least hover a little bit and not have to rely on her terrible legs.

Sounds of tearing? Mention of what happens when lethal damage is take? Raes death and the body being sucked away? This is why you don't monologue it gives the hero time to figure out what your up to.

As Crae goes to tackle Xavier he dives to the ground.

Forming a perfect thing to trip on.

Hopefully this will work out so that Crae ends up in his own void.

Yeah, Crae is sort of flying. When Xavier ducks down he reaches for him and the sleeves of his coat extend to try to drag Xavier in with him. Oh, and Andy punched a hole in the dome, which disappears as Crae goes through the void anyways, so yeah.

Ooh, he feels something grab on to him. Something of a cloth like nature.
"Kind of kinky don't you think." He'll remark while completing the rest of this post.
The sleeves of his coat. So a sort of wrap around him deal.

Now see Xavier didn't really want to be dragged into the void.

When I say didnt want to I mean really didn't want too.

Which means that his knife will come up to try and cut the sleeve that is dragging him. So it can't hold on. Then push off the ground so he ends up being pulled with one sleeve and misses the fissure,

Well that's the theory anyways. How it works is up to Rae to deiced.

That request was totally too late on Grace's part. Still, maybe she can at least make sure this is fully ended...

She drops her shield and focuses all of her energy, waiting to see if Xavier goes into the void with Crae.

Can his knife cut through mythril? Or at least steel? Otherwise, that probably won't work, and he will probably be pulled in as well. Should he be pulled in, they will enter the void, where Xavier will probably feel extremely unsettled, and the only thing in sight besides blackness would be Crae. That is, as long as the knife can't cut through.

(Huh, well I guess this means I finally have to decide what I'm doing with Xaviers knives. I could either A bring them back the way they used to work. Which would allow me to have him cut through this here. Which would allow the ensuing IC drama that I really want. Or I could not have them the way that they used to be.

Yeah, lets make Xaviers old knives Canon)

It would seem so. As the knife passes right through the metal then reforms. Severing it.

And then the whole spin out deal happens. Which results in him just barely missing getting slammed into the void.

He's grinning like mad now. "Toodle Ooo" As he will try and slice the other tether off. Essentially getting him off scot free.

That is till the rest of Lantern shows up.

Just as Xavier severs the shirt, and Crae falls into the void, Grace springs into action with her plan-

That is, smacking at Xavier as hard as she can with a projection of force while he's still unstable, to force him into the void.

Margaret is really quite agitated by all this.

But she decides to channel it at the tosser wot jus' shotted Crae, as she'd describe Xavier.

So from her ring is cast a lurid yellow light, a cone of radiance about 20 feet long and 5 feet at its widest point.
She tries to get Xavier in it, at which point he'll likely feel afraid. Like, what-am-I-supposed-to-do confused afraid.

Oh dear

That's not good.

Well I mean he is now off to the side because of the whole jumping out of the way thing.

So the blast is unlikely to shove him through the rip.

That said it doesn't stop it from sending him flying. Which is exactly what happens.

Xavier ends up comically flying through the air and landing face down in the dirt.
Ouch. That meant he couldn't even get off a witting one liner.

Then comes the fear field. Now fear had always been an alien concept to Xavier. However magic... there was something he wasn't particularly strong against. He looks skittish to say the least... as if he's afraid that every little thing is out to get him. At least judging from the fact he just tried to attack a blade of grass for getting too close.

Oh, hey, the rip is slowly closing. If someone is gonna shove Xavier through, they'd better do it now.

Good enough.
Grace points her trident at Xavier, despite him being quite out of her reach. For a moment, it might seem weird, but then the trident gives a snarling, screeching sound as it unleashes three lances of magical energy quite ready to burn holes right through Xavier's flesh. Probably his head given the fact that he's face down in the dirt.

Margaret's mechanical eye glows brighter as Xavier is affected by the fear field.
Finally, someone else is afraid.

Xavier is starting to stand when the trident blast is fired off. It results in the aim being slightly off.

And a hole is blasted through each shoulder and right near the windpipe. Sending him reeling.

And oh.. god is he crying. So much fear. So much worry.

As he struggles through the pain he's going to try and run away in a random direction away from the fear lady and trident lady.

Far far away.

He's essentially bolting. It's not all that fast because of the pain. But it's about a fast jogging pace.

How does the fear effect work? Area? If so when he exits the area is it gone?

After exiting the fear area, the effect will die down on its own.
However, his adrenaline is probably up by now and he's already running---and hey, Rae's dead---so there may not be that much of a reason to turn back even after the five or so minutes it'll take for the fear to die all the way down.

Grace isn't quite capable of putting up a good pursuit, and her request still hasn't been answered... friggin' red tape.
And the only other LANTERN member here is... the timid one. Not that she isn't doing a great job, but Grace isn't sure she'd be capable of dealing with this all on her own.

She grits her teeth and leans heavily on her trident, which she grounds. He's out of range by now, after all, and there is no way she's catching up. Best to try and get him later- he had accomplished his goal, and if she pushed the matter, it might just make things worse.

"Well, now what?"

When the fear aura finally wears off. Xavier decides it's time to put his mind back together.

He was going to the tavern for a drink.

Hopefully the holes in his chest would be healed by then.

... because that blood loss was really starting to get to his head.

As Damon's eye flickers open he might able to see Sarah looking at him gently, walking back and fourth, acting kind of worried.

Damon yawns and opens his eyes. "Uhh...morning already?" He stretches and gets to his feet, "Is something the matter Sarah? You seem a little uneasy..." He looks around, wondering if there's some immediate threat, not understanding why she's acting so worried.

"Yeah, we probably should."
Grace says with a sigh. She does give Margaret a small smile though.
"I wish we could have gotten him, but you did a good job. Better that he get out of here than get the rest of us."

She retracts her talons and glances over at the new building.

Using her trident as a walking stick, Grace slowly makes her way over to the new headquarters and opens the door, revealing the very bare halls within.
"We're going to need some furniture..."

Damon yawns and opens his eyes. "Uhh...morning already?" He stretches and gets to his feet, "Is something the matter Sarah? You seem a little uneasy..." He looks around, wondering if there's some immediate threat, not understanding why she's acting so worried.

Sarah looks at Damon, looking quite relived, "Damon, your awake, thank the winds." She says "There are demons nearby, a lot of them, Vizek claims there is something big going on. He's away scouting at the moment." Sarah shakes her head sadly. "Whatever they are doing here... you should get healed first. I'm sure Vizek can deal with this alone. They are after all only pathetic little demons."

The Puppy, who has trying to get in this entire time barks in a very angry fashion towards the building.

Ienza follows, reasoning that at least this guy has only been mean to her once and he keeps the jerks away.

Metta whistles a tune.

Those old enough to recognize it will realize that its a tune the Old Gods created to install madness when played by enough people. He seems fairly amused by his whistling though.

Actually she doesn't. But that's more backstory info that my character doesn't know yet. xD

Ana just looks generally depressed. "My parents. That's who." She remarks coldly. "Tell you they love you then give you to the wolves" Another tear rolls down her face. "Think that's it all for the best. Stupid home."

(I'm considering running a plot at some point where she and her sister and possibly a few friends go back and try and help the revolution. )
