Elezibethele motions for the slaves to leave Din, and begins to chant. It's in Abyssal, but the altar automatically translates her words for Din. "Oh, Most Mighty Dalachrech, Demon Lord of All Invertebrates, please hear my call. For on this day, we offer you the blood and life of an Enemy of Your religion. This Enemy serves another, a goddess, and has made offensive remarks to Your clergy. This Enemy has also insulted Your Majesty directly. This Enemy has also conspired against You and Your servants, threatening them with harm and hiring assassins to carry out her wishes, thus also making her guilty of cowardice. If You accept this, our most trifling of offers, we will be eternally grateful. Amen." Elezibethele will put the brainbeetle larvae onto Din's foot using tweezers. As Elezibethele does this, one of the slaves will remove Din's gag. It would seem that Dalachrech has accepted their offering, as the beetle will burrow into Din's foot and start eating its way to her brain. This will take a long time, maybe several hours, and cause a lot of pain. Elezibethele will watch all of it.

Din cries out loud "...no...no...ARGH! NO ! PLEASE! MAKE IT STOP! I DON'T WANT DO DIE! I'LL DO ANYTHING!"

"Sorry, Din. It's too late now. Once it's in your body, it can't be stopped." That's a lie. It can be stopped. It's just really, really hard. Elezibethele continues to watch Din die as the beetle slowly progresses up her body from her foot.

Ermine takes another step back. And another. Before...

The pirate draws a musket out of her hat, takes aim, and fires on the axe. It probably won't even dent the magic weapon, and might even do more harm than good with an unlucky ricochet. Ermine just wants the thing to stop sending her the horrible images, though.

Reinholdt briefly considers the images further. Might even succumb to the power of the axe, but you'll be surprised what loud bangs can do for you.
Reinholdt gets to his feet and scurries behind Ermine. Possibly hiding behind her. Clearly to just regroup and formulate a proper attack plan. Clearly.

The musket ball doesn't bounce off. It doesn't go through, either. All the kinetic energy is expended through the axe and leaves no mark. It doesn't stop the images; if anything, they increase in potency.

Din begs her still screaming in pain"PLEASE! I am lower than dirt ,a filthy halfbreed , and it would be an honour for me to be your slave, and grovel at your feet"

"I would accept your words at any other time, unfortunately your life is Dalachrech's, and for me to deny Him your death, or even postpone it, would cost me my life, my soul and my chance at eternal happiness." Elezibethele sounds a bit regretful. But the beetle continues up Din's body without stopping.

Ermine squeaks a bit, still horrified by the image. She turns to Reinholdt behind her, with fear in her wide eyes. And, as result of the axe's impression, a little spark of murderous rage. It's small and being repressed, but there.

"S-stop it R-Rein'oldt!"

She feels around in her hat more, again searching for something to destroy the cursed weapon.

"I don't know how!" Running might be the best option. Or throwing it in a hammerspace and hoping that stops it.

Reinholdt summons his rusting wand. He bought it from Erin's Emporium some time ago. As such it probably won't be as effective as the one Ermine found. It's probably factory made.

But he fires a shot at the axe.

And then he deadtimes.

It's probably not a good thing, then, that it excites them. One leaps for the ring mail man's trailing foot as he is dragged along and latches on, screaming the song at the top of it's wooden lungs. It's painted on mouth doesn't move, but bite marks start to appear on the leg.
DEEP bite marks.

Silva will run over and try to kick it away. A good, hard kick, aimed right for its face.

The others may notice that the blade of her dagger is now on fire.

Wait a minute...was it a dagger? Now it look more like a short sword...
