This one takes but an instant to act, and is quite simple. No-one who knows that Mercury faked his own death will be (almost certainly) rendered unable to communicate this knowledge to anyone,

Prancibald, the Wizard Who Did It, finds that this odd spell reverberating through the cosmos has slightly upset the flavor of his tea. He wills the spell to create wombats on the planet Neptune instead.

Being an utterly Omnipotent running gag that has existed here on FFRP for years now seems to hold a lot of sway. The universe can't help but be compelled by the peculiar old man and his absolutely kick-ass skull cap. Thus reality as a whole submits to his esoteric and eccentric fancy.

As such Neptune now has a rather nice supply of space wombats.

One has to wonder what they'll eat on the gas giant, though.

(I believe I made a point to the effect that you know he faked his death and you remember him. You can talk about Mercury with other characters. You just can't do so in regards to that fact that he faked his death. He also mentioned that your character could find ways around it.

I believe the fact he was talking about with the Perma-deadtime has little to do with the consequences of his characters actions. But instead with yours Moff the fact that your character seems to have a counter for everything he does... as far as I've seen between your characters every time you have done anything between the two it has ended with Ilyena wins.. because she is magic power lady. Mercury loses. Perhaps I've missed something as I don't really follow all the threads but you have to give and take. If your character is just easily countering everything and has a vendetta and won't leave the other character alone what is the fun for the other player in playing that character.)

(In relation to what Rebo just said while it may be fun for you to make Mercury's efforts futile. It's obviously not fun for his player. We are are here to have fun. No play a game of who's better.)

Xavier will proceeds to begin his exit of the battle field. The job wasn't done. Per say but he wasn't going to get anything more done here.

I think this is something best talked through with you and TE. Just leaving him alone would be sort of weird and anti-climatic in terms of what's gone on IC between them. But I think you and TE should work out how the struggle between both of you could be enjoyable to work. On both ends.

(Yeah, what Celtois said pretty much sums it up. I know Mercury is going to face the music one day, and it'll probably be taps. But really, he's lost everything. He's had to chamge his face and his name, which he valued above almost everything. His entire life was based around keeping his Daemon in check, and partly due to Ilyena he lost control, meaning in order to keep from becoming completely insane he's goingto have to seal away his magic for good. On top of that, he's going to have to ditch his mansion. Ilyena has ruined everything for Mercury, which is fine. What isn't is that Ilyena apparently intends to continue doing so forever. I'd be fine if Ilyena kept trying to kill Mercury every time he was discovered, I'd just prefer it if he didn't use his universe altering skills to instantly find Mercury every time he tries to escape)

Atoya looks him over to see if she can find anything wrong with him.

Ory is clearly not well. If Atoya checks his eyes she'll find they are rolled back into his skull and if she checks his pulse it feels weak and thready. He also has a rather large bump on the side of his head, beginning to swell. There was also some dried blood around it. If anyone tries to take his goggles off they will slip off just fine but the strap across the back covers a silvery cord that jacks directly into the back of his neck. This cord seems firmly attached to his spinal cord.

ninja'd: The spell pushes the swelling down and his pulse too improve, but his breathing is still weak and he is thoroughly unconscious.

I wasn't aware asking Magtok was a universe altering skill.

You're right, though. Mercury deserves a chance to get away untouched.

"Cybernetics or something? I'll see about getting him to the hospital, if you can help me pick him up and hold him before you head over there?" she asks Atoya. "I can hold him long enough to 'port there..."

It is if you ask Mercury: Nonsense! I could never have beenfound out by such a simple-minded ploy! He pbviously altered the very cosmos itself!

And I honestly don't expect it to work. Seeing as his new name is going to be a pun on "Mercury". Narcissists good con men do not make.

Stretching out the way people are often prone too. Moments later she jumps out of bed and her eyes are darting at the room..

Where the hell am I? This doesn't look like home? A government cell maybe? Oh god... my.... wait. There was something about a party.

Hell. that must have meant I went home with someone doesn't it. I hope I was ....wait this bed doesn't looked used and I'm still in my clothes.

Something about psychic energy, frost, exhaustion.. now she remembered what had happened.

Huh so this was a the temple where the party happened. She smoothed her shirt out as she wanders back into the hot tub room. Wonder if anyone is still around. Ah.. look like.

The seems to have spotted Atoya. As she waves and smiles.

She tosses her long wet hair back over her shoulder.

"That was quite a night. Lots of insane happenings.... oh hey were did the short one go? With the red hair?" She's talking while rubbing sleep dust from her eyes.

And then trying to get her hair to calm down after having been slept on while wet.

"That's no good. I wonder what was wrong with him." She pauses to think about it for a moment." Wait the dumb drunk one?" There you go Ana easy way to describe people. Don't worry about names. Just how they act. She looks concerned by her latest revolution that Ory had to go the hospital

It's best to drink in moderation, I've learned..."

"Yeah well were I'm from that had to be pretty much are motto. You couldn't afford to drink to much or the government would find you and hall you away. If you were someone like me they either burned you alive, or sent you to the firing squad." She shudders "So you always needed a drink to take an edge of the reality but never enough that you weren't ready to run and hide." She grins sheepishly. "I may have slightly overdone it last night, that or the psychic power I used left me with this nasty headache." She rubs her temples. "Huh, so Ory's in the hospital. Serves him right I guess for drinking too much and being a twit." There is certainly an undertone of worry under her voice. But at the moment she sounds more annoyed.
