    Default Pathfinder Druid Questions

I've played Pathfinder a decent amount, but I haven't played a Druid yet. I was wondering if anyone can answer some questions I have on what stuff stacks and all. And please keep everything confined to the core Player's Handbook since that is what I'm restricted to.
In Wildshape, do I use all the stats of the animal or do I get to use some of my own? I read an article from one of the other posts and it said DEX was no longer substituted, but the description of the spell Beast Shape makes it sound like I am strictly the animal. Also, do you get your Woodland Stride in Wildshape? And lastly does Woodland Stride help me from getting snared or at least move through my Entangle at all?

nothing is substituted, it says exactly what you get in the beast shape spell (which wildshape now basicly is, just with a longer duration)

and under the polymoprh subschool you can check what else you gain and what you loose: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic#TOC-Transmutation

and on the woodland stride and entangle thing:
Starting at 2nd level, a druid may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.

Fell for the same bad origination as I did.

As they said. Their is a special section in the Pathfinder book on polymorph spells in general. This governs all spells of said nature. That is on page 211 of the Pathfinder core book.

And yes you do use your statistics in place of the actual creatures, but you get bonuses biased on what creature you morph into. You also gain, in general, the creatures special abilities and attacks. However each spell is different.

And on a personal note: Druids got jacked on what they can change into. Wizards can do the same things via spells, and they have a far larger selection of spells to pick from. It would have been my assumption that the class known for changing into critters would natural do that the best at it. I would be wrong however.
Remember no matter where you go. There you are.
