    Default [3.5] Dispelling Alternative?

I am currently involved in a high-epic 3.5 game that has been an ongoing campaign for nearly 11 years.
Inevitably, things have reached a rather grand scale. Epic magic has been brutalized and twisted like a floppy balloon animal, magic items have expanded to gargantuan sizes...
The DM has, for obvious reasons, had to take a somewhat heavy hand to keep things from reaching stratospheric levels of complexity and cheese-ness.

Our current dilemma involves dispelling, and the length of time it has begun to take at the table. Each encounter commences with inescapable epic dispels, and as a caster-heavy group, the number of wards and protections has gotten hefty. The d20+cl vs. 11+cl for each spell simply takes too long, and our group has spread out to find a new solution.

The first suggestion was rolling for spells in groups of 2/3/5/10, etc, but it has been highly vetoed; understandably, casters do not want a lucky roll to strip them of their best protections all at once.

Has anyone ever seen an alternative for dispelling?
Or discovered an easier way through similar strifes?

Any input is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Do it by percentages; you know what percentage are going to get knocked out on average so they lose that many. To placate them they pick which ones get destroyed.
