Favorite Homebrew Classes
Hey homebrewers.
What is your favorite 3.5/Pathfinder Homebrew (or 3rd party) class? Please post links to where we can see it for ourselves, and note - I'm relatively new to this thing.
Also, no variants, unless they're REALLY interesting variants.

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
I wouldn't say I have a favorite, but many of the classes in the monthly Prestige Class Creation Contest are excellent pieces of work. If you're looking for good material, I'd recommend taking a look. Things by The Vorpal Tribble, Krimm Blackleaf, and the Demented One are also usually excellent. For that matter, I consider most of my own work fairly solid, but I'm not going to be crass enough to like my own stuff.

2oz Djinn
5oz Water
1 Lime Wedge

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
I have to agree with all of your choices, plus add your work to the list.
As for base classes, my preferences go to the rebuilds of the various classes that had good ideas, but poor execution. Such as the ToB Swashbuckler.
Warforged Upgrades
Blade Lord Vestige
Soulforged PrC
Transformers RPG Now Updated as PDFs on Google Drive.

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
Hmmm...do you mean base classes or prestige classes or both?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of homebrew base-classes but here are some of my favorite prestige. One by each of my favorite brewers here.
Thousand Arrow-Archer - This one was made by The Demented One. I've always felt that the Tome of Battle needed to give a little bit to archers, and this is one of the best classes I've seen that try to provide that.
Psychokinetic Magewright - Love the flavor of this class as well as the abilities. its a little strong but it is just on of my very favorites. Made by Djinn_in_Tonic
Continuum Invoker - Made by Krimm Blackleaf. This one is awesome. I love the flavor of being able to warp space and time. I like the fusion of warlock and psionics. this class makes me wich that wizard had made a psionic warlock variant.
Battle Telepath - This one was made by ErrantX. While the class is a little vanilla (keep in ming that I do not believe that vanilla is necessarily a bad thing), it is very well made class that gives the character useful and powerful abilities. I've played this one personally and I really enjoyed it.
Lastly, I am a big fan of the homebrew monster classes in the thread started by Oslecamo. Particularly those classes made by Hyudra. I'm really looking forward to trying out his Storm Giant class.

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
My favorite is Ozodrin by Owthro, though it's more recent and is still being fine tuned.

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
In no particular order:
The Invoker This class has all but replaced wizards in my group. Though I've revised it somewhat to fit my needs.
The Connoisseur Very cool concept, pulled off admirably well.
The Witch Doctor Havent gotten to play one yet, but I intend to. Another well-done class.
The Skinwalker Realms of Chaos. Need I say more? Haven't tested it yet because its pretty involved, but I definately like the concept.
The Vampire Honestly, the best way I've discovered for PCs to play vampires easily.
Plus I second the Ozodrin."To play a fighter is to play the game.
To play a wizard is to understand the rules.
To understand the rules, and play a fighter, is to understand the game."

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
Arguably the most... variable of all the classes, ever, I would like to point out MY favorite, the Evolutionist, by Draken.
It gets even more varied when you introduce the class feats, like Devolutionist.
I know there are some people who feal it is easily broken (*cough*sonofzeal*cough*), but you really have to focus to do that.Demilich avatar by Smuchmuch. Thank you VERY much!

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
The Projector in my sig has a special place in my list, mostly due to being my first and best effort at class homebrew. As for others...
Krimm Blackleaf's Warforged Armorlord is a fantastic PrC for warforged, and turned out to be exactly what I was looking for for a character I'm playing.
I love the work of The Demented One and Djinn in Tonic, as previous posters have echoed. And, honestly, any class on the boards that isn't clearly broken and is spelling- and grammar-checked properly is usually worth a go.HOMEBREW
The Phase Dancer - A spellsword who has learned to use teleportation to stab people.
The Stalwart - An unarmed, unarmored wall of muscle that fights with surges of strength and massive combat maneuver combos.

Re: Favorite Homebrew Classes
I'd say DragoonWraith's stuff (before he got banned...) was pretty good, especially the Midnight Occultist, but I don't know if it ever got finished.
Apart from that, Krimm, The Demented One, Djinn and Realm of Chaos also made great things.Last edited by Dead_Jester; 2011-01-24 at 05:34 PM.
