Re: It's My 36th Birthday!
... So how many Jedi do we kill with that order? or is that the order to serve the cake? I get those confused.
Also, Happy Birthday. Now, Back to Lurking!

Re: It's My 36th Birthday!
Buzzkill time! Order 66 was to remove the Jedi, but Order 65 was to remove the Supreme Chancellor. Shame nobody hacked the transmission to change that number. Also, while Order 36 was never released, Order 37 was to mass-arrest and possibly execute a civilian population in order to capture a specific person in that population.
Of course, all but Order 66 is now Legends, but we did know a few of the Contingency Orders.
Anyway, happy birthday! I got you way too much Star Wars knowledge that probably nobody should really care about.Last edited by Peelee; 2019-12-10 at 12:18 PM.

Got a question for you, ladies and gentlemen, I want to know what I should get for my B-Day. . . I decided to get Ninokuni, Wrath of the White Witch. I have the Switch, and the PS 4. . . .

So...it's my 45th, and I hope this is alright...
(This is a copy verbatim of a post I made on another message board. Hopefully it's alright here.)
Okay, it has been too long since I have done one of these so...BRING IT IN, GUYS!!!
*various Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, Square-Enix, Rare, Hasbro, Atlus, Marvel, DC, Neverealm, Blizzard, and indie game protagonists come in carrying a HUGE cake*
Oh wait...before we begin, I need to invite quite a few others. Excuse me...
*opens doors to Know Your Meme* Come on in, all of you...I want you guys to hear this too.
Now that we are all here, I want to say something...
I know it has been forever and three halves since I have written anything new and I REALLY need to get back to that, but first I need to get real life off my back. However, there is something about that I want to talk about.
I was never expecting Heroes of Arcadia to become as big of a thing as it was. It really just started as the backstory for a TTRPG based on the concept of role playing in a video game setting. I was surprised that The Gamemaster's Legacy would become (and still is, surprisingly) a big hit! This is still considered a mind blow to me. Self-insert fic was never seen as good in the day the fic came out...but it didn't matter as people still loved the story. (Despite me thinking the story is trash nowadays...but then my own tastes have evolved and I've become more knowledgeable about the lore of the various worlds since.)
This love and respect I have gotten from this is something that is truly touching. I know a lot of people who have either archived these birthday posts or have seen them have said I was a very special person for still remaining geeky after all these years. However, I think it is all of you who have supported me and showed this respect that are truly special. When I was interviewed for New York Magazine to give my thoughts on "Ready Player One" it was mentioned that the positivity seen in these posts and in the responses to them are a much needed respite from the negativity usually seen. That, to me, is something I feel we need more of on the internet.
So... *raises a pewter goblet towards the crowd* ...this is to you, my friends. Both my friends in this community and to those of you that have archived these birthday posts. Here's to you for giving a schmuck like me a chance to shine and making me feel special...even if I don't see myself as that special. Here's hoping I am still as geeky in the years to come...even though I have now become "too old for this crap". (Not too old for the geeky stuff...just "this crap".) SALUD!!! *takes a big swig of what's in the goblet*
Now that that impromptu speech is out of the way...LET'S PARTY!
PINKIE PIE: FINALLY!!!
DEADPOOL: Alright! Time to gorge myself on chimichangas until I bleat! The fourth wall has shattered...
