Fell Drain and Damage Over Time Spells
Hello. I was just wondering how Fell Drain in Libris Mortis worked with spells that deal damage over several rounds such as boreal winds, burning blood etc.
The wording of the feat makes it seem like it would apply whenever it dealt damage. But that would seem like an incredibly powerful + 2 metamagic feat for 1 negative level a round.
Thanks for the help.
Edit: Actually looking at Fell Shaken it looks like that has the same ambiguous phrasing.Last edited by Silva Stormrage; 2011-01-22 at 03:40 AM.

Re: Fell Drain and Damage Over Time Spells
Well, from the wording it seems that it would work as a 1 level drained per round spell.
However, every single DM I've told about this combo has said that they would rule that Fell Drain only applies once per target per spell, regardless of what the accepted RAW or RAI is.
