Using pathfinder sorcerer in 3.5
The pathfinder version of sorcerer is much of an improvement over the one 3.5. Would it be balanced to allow the pathfinder version of sorcerer into a 3.5 game?
Maybe bring it a little closer to 3.5 by giving it a d4 hit die instead of the d6.

Re: Using pathfinder sorcerer in 3.5
Whether it's balanced or not depends on the party. Even a standard sorcerer would be unbalanced in a party of T4 and T5s, never mind the much stronger Pathfinder version which is just shy of T1.

If you want to balance with other casters, yes. If you want to balance with mundanes, no. PF is a straight power boost for Sorcerers.

Re: Using pathfinder sorcerer in 3.5
Fixed that for you.
Take a look at the rest of the Pathfinder classes, every single one is an improvement over the 3.5 classes. There are also more ACFs, Racial Feature Subsititutions, and Favored Class Bonuses then you could shake a wand of cure light at. Why not just make the full conversion and give every player a chance to play something that is new (to them) and interesting? Pathfinder Sorcerer is better by far, but the same goes for everything between Bard to Wizard.Last edited by Volos; 2011-02-11 at 12:59 PM.

Not to mention that it also has an SRD, with even more detail than the WotC one (including, e.g.: spell area and positioning diagrams, feat acquisition intervals and WBL tables.)
Oh, and its psionics rocksLast edited by Psyren; 2011-02-11 at 02:42 PM.
