I need help thinking of a name for my raven familiar. I play a goth chick, spiked chain wielding duskblade that hust got a raven for a familiar and am drawing a blank on a name. Nevermore is out as it was used by another player in our group. Thank you

You could also give it the name of a dragon like Ashardalon and have him speak Draconic.

Huginn or Munnin. The ravens in service of Odin. Their names means "Thought" and "Memory" respectively.

I have a tradition of sorts of naming the familiars of my characters after archfiends or similar powerful evil beings. Examples have included Hasitaal (deity of lust and corruption, basically), Orcus, and one of Sauron's lesser known names - can't recall which, though.

The last time I had a character with a Raven familiar, it was named Kunguru, after the Swahili name for the pied crow. Mainly because I really like the look of pied crows.

Make yours albino, and have it arrogantly hate Nevermore. The name doesn't matter as much, then.

Also: "Morrigu", from Celtic mythology ... "Lady" or "Murgen" from the later Black Company books ... "Eyeplucker" for general creepiness.
