[3.5] Musings on dobule power template
We all know that CR isn't strictly speaking, scalar. Hence, i'm wondering what the CR increase would be found in the following template [in the quick and dirty form it's written up, i'm hoping to use it for dire animals].
- Double hit points and hit dice
- Double attack bonus and damage dice/bonuses
- Increase size by two categories; apply size mods to attack and AC
- Double natural armour
- Double DCs and subtract 10
- Double skill modifiers and subtract 5
Total time spent, 8 minutes, CR increase, what?Mine is not so much a Peter Pan Complex as a Peter Pan Doom Fortress and Underground LairTM!

Re: [3.5] Musings on dobule power template
It'd have to scale based on the HD of the creature you were applying it to. The higher the base CR, the bigger the increase, because you're getting more out of it.

Re: [3.5] Musings on dobule power template
+50% CR? Not quite sure. It's going to be usually stronger than +2 though (double hit points and damage (or actions) would be +2; all the other stuff is more of a boost)
