Andrew Bird
Genius?
I am continually impressed. I actually found him through TED. He did a Talk where he talked a little about imagination and then played an unfinished piece at some point. It was incredible. I've been listening more and more and he never stops impressing me. Makes me feel like I'm in love without having a target. As a musician, I can find no flaws in his music at all. Every note is there for a reason.
What are your thoughts, playground? Is there anyone who is similar that I might like? I can't think of any similar artists.I take this game with the seriousness it deserves.
Not all that much. It's a game.

Yeah, he's really good, and his music is just so...lush. The Mysterious Production of Eggs, Armchair Apocrypha, and Noble Beast are all fantastic albums.
I can't think of any extremely similar artists off the top of my head. Maybe Owen Pallett?

Re: Andrew Bird
Here is the TED Talk that I watched.
The name alone is enticing.I like the use of feedback as an instrument.
Just kidding, that didn't happen. But it was mentioned, and it was a theme of his half-song.Last edited by Xyk; 2011-03-06 at 02:46 AM.
