He could easily be very secretive (he lives in space), and Clinton is obviously a real fan. If rationality were really a defining issue here, Clinton wouldn't be tied up. Marten or Hanners would have called the police, identified him as a stalker, and then notified Hanner's mother. Clinton would have a restraining order, be in custody, or disappear.

I'm sad because I know, due to the tone of the comic, that nothing will likely come of this, and that Faye is full of hot air when it comes to violence (which can be rather frustrating).

He might. If it was a community of individuals who've essentially deified her father like he has, it might be his way of kind of saying "I've met his daughter. It's almost like meeting him."

I'm greatly disappointed in the lack of phone smashing. The setup was perfect! But no, they opted to tie him up instead (which makes less and less sense more I think about it. How to make someone go away and stop bothering you? Make it so he can't get away) and let him talk, and by doing such lost the moment. Pintsize could easily be the result of a manufacturer's error in programming, with other AnthroPC's being very friendly a manageable.
