Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Damn. Supagoof was a good...well, proxy it seems now. At least we got a wolf through inactivity.
Julian84 for me today. No it's not random, I genuinely think he's a wolf. No, I don't have anything concrete to back it up.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Right...
Must point now. But brain still tired from weekend...
Supagoof's final post suggested we should lynch Duneyrr. Unless there's a reason for a change of plan, we could see where that leads. What do you mean "Dungeon Master" isn't a proper job?
Thanks to Thufir for the avatar.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Khal makes the most sense right now, we're bound to get a wolf by going through the off wagon points eventually.
I shall spread the buttery light of justice over the toast of your iniquity!
Fight my brute.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
If Duneyrr is a wolf, that would mean we had two wolf wagons simultaneously and that seems just too good to be true, so I think I'm going with Murska and say Khal today.
Not if my index finger has anything to say about it. And, as it turned out, it had quite the stirring dissertation prepared on that very subject.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Murska, not that it matters. I voted for duneyrr because a wagon with a confirmed villager seemed better than a wagon without one. Choosing to lynch someone because of that, even when the other wagon was on a wolf, seems faulty.

Sanctuary 8
Dianne had put off reading this section of story to the children for some weeks now. It seemed far more cold and heartless than the rest. At long last she’d decided to plough on though as there was an important moral to the story.
Now children. When grown ups start to do well at something they tend to believe that they are very good at it and can’t do it wrong. She choose her words carefully, gauging their reactions as she went. Remember that the people of Sanctuary 13 had begun to find the Werewolves amongst them. They had managed to find 3 in the last 2 days. They were on a roll. They could do no wrong. They were proud.
"But if you’re good at something aren’t you allowed to feel good about it?" called Sebastian. Of course, thought Dianne, that would hit home with him.
Remember Sebastian. Hand up if you want to ask a question. You are definitely allowed to feel good but boosting about your success and forgetting how hard you worked for it will only lead to trouble.
The Sanctuary, riding high on the waves of their recent success, forgot that it was careful watchfulness, logic and reasoning that caught them their wolves. With reckless abandon they pointed at various townsfolk, accusing them of helping to bring about the demise of Mr.Goof and worse. Yes Jessica? What is it?
"Please Miss Swane. How many people are left in the Sanctuary?" asked Jessica. Official records stated 34 but we’re unsure if all citizens are accounted for. Until we can physically explore Sanctuary 13 we cannot be sure.
Anyway. After bickering back and forth the town decided a young chap named Khal was certainly the man for the proverbial chop. Deaf to his protests about following the most trustworthy of them right up until his tragic end they decided that this particular wolf should be made an example of.
And now came the bit Dianne had been putting off for so long. Steeling herself she continued. Wolves had to be burnt after death anyway so wouldn’t it serve the wolf right to suffer being burnt alive? Wouldn’t it act as a deterrent to the rest – who they would most assuredly catch with ease now they knew what they were doing? A bonfire was quickly built and Khal lashed atop it like a grim Guy Fawkes. Not once did he stop protesting his innocence and not once did they stop to listen.
The children were looking quite pale now…should she stop? Create a daring rescue and escape for the young Khal? No…the moral was too important. As the flames quickly licked up the sides of the bonfire and started to burn, Khal started screaming and pleading to be spared but no one listened. Khal would, after all, be changing into a wolf in his death throws any second.
It was only when the screams stopped and Khal lay on the burned out bonfire, a charred human skeleton, that the weight of their actions sunk in. An innocent man had suffered an horrific death because they were so sure of themselves. So proud.
People filtered out of the square in solemn silence. No one was ever burnt alive again.
The bell went and Dianne stood up. Safe home everyone and I’ll see you on Monday. She didn’t think any of the children heard her voice crack or saw the tear on her cheek. Turning to her desk she pulled out a well worn piece of paper, a print out of an email she’d received long ago from a pen pal.
I’m glad you had no hand in this chapter she whispered to herself as tears fell onto the page.
Summary: Khal was Lynched. He was a Villager.
Night 7 begins now and ends in about 21 hours.
Please PM all night action to Qwaz & Lex-kat

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Can I vote for both? Julian, then. Khal seems a bit more innocent to me, though we still have next to nothing on either by way of logic.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
The handy dandy handless handyman grumbled in frustration.
Rakkoons running rampant, gratuitous graffiti and now the air conditioning ducts leading to the overseers office are somehow blocked! How about someone with arms lend me a hand!
It’s hard enough being a handy man with no arms but all over the place people had started calling him a llama and spray painting weird impressions of him…which he then had to remove…with no arms!
Spoiler
There was another of those damn spray paintings on the wall panel he needed to unscrew to get into the ducts.
eheeeeheeoeeughoooaoaoeaoeaeuieieoeeeeeghohhohohoh eeeh
(Translation: Bet no one else has learned to operate a screwdriver with his mouth)
Spitting the screwdriver expertly into a custom made slot on his belt, Atreyu knocked his head against the wall once to activate his helmet light and started to explore.
Wriggling along the floor snake-like was not the fastest way to move and progress towards the overseer’s office was slow. The heat was intense as well – The blocked airflow had shut off the AC. It should start up automatically once the blockage was cleared. Sweat dripped off Atreyu’s brow. This better be an easy fix. I’m gonna melt here!
Aha! Exclaimed Atreyu as he found what he was looking for. His light fell upon something filling the duct corner to corner. It was almost like a big matted furry wall.
Let’s see what we’ve got here. Atreyu put his back against the furry blockage, braced his feet against the walls and pushed.
Huh. He exclaimed as he abruptly stopped pushing. The wall was supple. Soft yet somehow firm. And the beginnings of heat were just creeping through his shirt.
Turning he saw a huge wolf slowly uncurling itself and flex it’s jaws, eyes glinting in his light. He started to squirm himself back away from the wolf as quickly as he could but nowhere near fast enough. Lazily the wolf padded up to him…and ate him.
Slowly.
Starting with the feet.
In his office the overseer heard a rumble as the AC kicked back in and a scream.
“Great man that Atreyu. A mechanical wonder. Wish his success was a little less loudly celebrated though.”
Summary: Atreyu the Masked Llama was Killed. He was a Mason.
Day 8 begins now and ends in about 45 hours.
[NOTE: Shorter day to bring the updates back to midday BST. It will get there slowly. Don’t leave it too late to point.]
