you know that if you hit 'edit' check the 'delete this post' box, than hit delete you can just delete the thread yourself right?

Usually the best thing to do in these cases is to report the first post and explain that you'd like it deleted. It's not required, but it's more likely to be seen and taken care of that way.
I'll just lock this one, though. Otherwise writing this explaination is horribly, horribly pointless.
