[Eberron] Where's the best place to learn the fluff?
I'm having a burst of brainiacness and my Writer's Bug is itching horribly. A crossover idea occurred to me, but I don't know enough about Eberron to pull it off in my current state.
What sources and books are best for getting a solid grasp on Eberron?Last edited by NineThePuma; 2011-07-15 at 11:14 PM.

...
Anyway, the Campaign setting is good, as are the Xen'Drik, Sarlona, and Khorhivare focused books.
Which are called "Secrets of Xen'drik", "Secrets of Sarlona", and "Five Nations", respectively. :VAvatar by Ceika.

Re: [Eberron] Where's the best place to learn the fluff?
Wikia is ridiculously flash heavy (which means my older comp is fairly hard to use), and I notice that the wiki is (despite 953 articles ) very lacking in details on a number of places.
However, I do believe I can get access to those books with relative ease.

Read one of the novels, if you can get your hands on them.
I recommend Voyage of the Mourning Dawn. It's the first of a kind of really epic trilogy, actually, and probably contains half of everything I learned about Eberron.

I'd say your best bet is using the ECS and the Player's Guide - which is pretty much entirely fluff.
Five Nations is also a good read if you're planning on using Khorvaire as the setting.

The players guide is your best bet, and the books for each of the coninents will get into the details that will make feel truly eberronian. The Secrets of Sarlona one was the best one for me, fluff wise,if only because of the thought police.

If you want to learn mostly about Xendrik, try DDO, it's dungeons and dragons online. It doesn't use the vancian system for casters and ranged combat it awful but you can learn a bit about Xendrik.

Thanks to the wonderful Ceika for my signature.
I have Steam cards and other stuff! I am selling/trading them.

Eberron is one of my favorite settings for D&D books. The Thorn of Breland series by Keith Baker (Queen of Stone, Son of Kyber, and Fading Dream) take you to a few intresting places and give a good feel for the setting. I believe there is also an Eberron short story anthology out there somewhere as well.

We are not standing on the shoulders of giants, but on very tall tower of other dwarves.
