Loreli smiles. I know you're a ghost. But I'm sure you have more important things to do than to watcha mermaid regain her sight.

{Heading to the Icy Plateau}

Caroline begins to whistle as they go. She intentionally doesn't walk directly behind Vincent, smiling back at Jamie. She'll offer her an apple, placing a finger to her lips.

Along the way, the party encounters a few small beasts.

Slimes!

The players win first initiative against the four Blue Slimes.

Thankfully, she thought to bring a towel.

Silly Vincent, Jamie's wearing a backpack with her stuff in it already.

Jamie will accept the apple with a quiet smile returned to Caroline. Glad to have joined this group of unlikely heroes out for adventure!

Caroline pulls out her Fiery Dart Gun and fires at the first Blue Slime.

Vincent casts a spell to boost Caroline's physical attack and defense.

Jamie tosses an apple at the slimes! jumps in surprise as battle starts!
And, frowning, raises her free hand torwards the nearest slime.
Which...might possibly start to vibrate. As if being hit by sonic waves! Except without the actual sound.

The Fiery Dart Gun hits Blue Slime 1, dealing much more damage than it should have! It seems they're Ice Element Slimes!

Blue Slime 2 Begins Vibrating

It's the Slime's Turn!

Blue Slime 1 attacks Caroline. The defensive buff does its job and greatly weakens the attack. Blue Slime 2 follows suit.

Blue Slime 3 attacks Vincent, followed by Blue Slime 4. Both do moderate damage.

Jamie scowls, and concentrates on the power derived from her mother's that henceforth she'd only ever used to break padlocks!

Vibrations continue aimed at Slime the Second. Intended to addle its slimey little brain! At the very least.

Asploding slimes are the best kind!

Caroline easily sidesteps the first slime.

But she's hit by the second.

When it's her turn again, she'll fire a second dart at Blue Slime 1 again.

Vincent takes a basic swing at slime 1!

Silly Jamie. You should just run up and hit the slime.

Slime 2's Vibration counter reaches two. What could that mean?

Slime 1 takes damage! Both the Basic Attack and The Fire Dart hit, and it explodes into jello chunks!

Slime two attacks Caroline, but misses. Slime 3 attacks Vincent! Regardless of if it hits, he gets a counter attack! Slime 4 attacks Jamie, and will do moderate damage if it hits

Vincent is bonked! He's not really good at dodging. Semi-decent tank though. He's got a little over half left right now.

He counter attacks! Thwack!
He follows this up with a regular attack on slime 3 again. Take out the wounded ones!

Plus he's afraid of touching slime 2, having no idea what Jamie's special ability will do.

Jamie shrieks as the slime scores a hit! And jumps back, producing a dagger from her belt and slashing wildy at the slime while backing away.


...this is why she didn't run up and smack them, Vincent. She's a Caster. She works from range!

Caroline screams, also afraid of Slime 2.

On her turn, she makes sure to keep her distance from it, and fires at Slime 3.

For the Record, Jamie flails about, as since this is turn based combat, the slime somehow leaped back to where it was before, as the characters do when they're done their attacks. Play more JRPGs!

Slime 3 goes Kaboom! It couldn't stand the assault.

Slime 2 Attacks Caroline again, and Slime 4 attacks Vincent

Poor Jamie must think she's going insane.

Vincent uses a potion on himself!

Jamie, thinking she's going insane, hurls her dagger at Slime 2!

Caroline was about to heal Vincent, but targets and fires a dart at Slime 2 instead.

Jamie's Dagger hits Slime 2, activating an effect called Resonance. Her dagger does low damage, but then takes more damage than Caroline's gun was doing from the effect! All it takes is Caroline's gun to finish that one off.

Slime 4, the last remaining one, attacks the newly healed Vincent, but misses

Whoo! Gotta love those lucky misses!

What do we do now? Ilpholin seems to be following the female gnoll. I have a feeling we landed straight in the middle of some old feud... Wenomir says glumly.

No more demons attack you but the flame turning the zombie dragon to ash lit up the whole swamp, the mists turning red like blood in the light of the dragon fire. The black dragon should be able to rest now.

Meanwhile Ilpholin is following the gnoll who appears to be swimming away from them, the water is a bit too high for her. She's close to reach another island however.

"Ugh..."
Ilpholin will wade in and when she gets close enough, she'll shoot out her whip to try and catch the gnoll. And the whip... extends even! To up to twice it's normal length! It tends to surprise people.

What do we do now? Ilpholin seems to be following the female gnoll. I have a feeling we landed straight in the middle of some old feud... Wenomir says glumly.

Zanny already suggested what to do next! For now, though, he'll extend a leg to allow Wenomir to climb onto his back.

"Let's go get them, then."

Whether or not the demon hunter gets on, the dragon will fly off after Ilpholin and the gnoll. No doubt using superior dragon senses to track them.

Wenomir does get onto Zanny's back. He's not certain about wiping out the gnolls, but they'll decide when they get there.

Koro takes off after them. One wing is giving him pain as it suffered a slash, but he toughs it out.

There's often a defend/skip option he supposes, but it's so unclear what Jamie's doing!
