Default What are the best homebrew classes/fixes?

Exactly what it says on the tin. What are the best or most popular homebrew fixes on this here forum?

    Cheers.

Don't know about fixes, but the two most popular classes in these forums are the Harrowed and Ozodrin. Also popular is the Ebon Initiate.

You actually asked two questions, which is best (in the title), and which are popular (in the text). These aren't necessarily the same thing.

Popular means that whatever it is generates interest, whether it be an interesting concept, a commonly accepted niche (monk fixes, fighter fixes, etc.) Popular can often mean good, but unpopular doesn't necessarily mean bad. I've seen some pretty damn good classes that only got a few comments, mostly because there was simply nothing to critique about the class; they were pretty much sound as-is.

I've also seen threads filled with comments that, in my opinion, were vapid and devoid of any real value. Obviously, others thought otherwise, and that's fine.

Best is highly subjective and depends on the person.

So, do you mean popular? You could probably check out the page/post counts and get an idea. Do you want us to post links to our favorite homebrew (that isn't ours, obviously )?

Dunno quite why I went on a rant there a bit, I guess I feel a bit defensive for some of the unappreciated effort I see people put into things.

    For my personal favorites...

The Brawler by BRC (A brawling class that isn't eastern kung fu with a nice build-it-yourself power setup).
The Paladin by Gorgondantess (Great increase in power of a paladin with some neat ideas to make them really effective against evil).
The Fighter by Frozen_Feet (A fighter fix focused on a squad leader/action hero style.)
The Artiste by Primal Fury (Interesting class focused around using art to reinterpret the world around you).
The Grey Arcanist by Cardea (Necromancer Prestige Class based around debuffing rather than just LOL UNDEAD).
Redeemer of Regrets by Benly (LOL UNDEAD class that inverts the standard necromancer into a good character).

Ozodrin is beautiful, it's like playing Spore and Dnd as the same game.
Real horrorshow if you put the imagination into it.

On of my favorites, and a class I've played alongside, is the Indigo Trickster, which I can't find a link to. I also like Jirku's Fighter remix.
Guess who's good at avatars? Thormag. That's who.

T.G. Oskar's warmage gets a lot of buzz (and warmage surely needed the lovin').
Subclasses for 5E: magus of blades, shadowcraft assassin, spellthief, void disciple
    Guides for 5E: Practical fiend-binding

D&D Remix for 3.x: balanced base classes and feats, all in the authentic flavor of the originals. Most popular: monk and fighter.
