SpoilerDon't need to replay to know this one. You can replay through the Tutorial again once you have the cobweb duster by accessing the Collective Unconscious. It even plays a little message when you get there saying that students can run through the test again for extra credit. xD

I must say that's really something.
ION: I have decided to name my house. It shall now be called Loafer's Glory.

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
I never got why people name their houses. In Europe, it seems ok, on account of the name has probably been there for centuries. For new houses, why? I mean, in Europe you can just put your address as "Folston Manor", and the post will reach you. So it has both historical and practical value.
New houses, and in North America? Why? Other than sheer vanity, I mean.

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
Ca you actually legally name your house?
Around here there are houses that have family names when they are generational or have well known inhabitants, but legally they are just [Forgotten National Hero's Name] [Block Number][House Number]

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
Well, in England there are houses that have already been named, generally because they were owned by some noble or other amazingly rich dude.
And why not for fun? Because it just seems vain to me. Like getting a custom license plate. I look at those and go... this tells me a lot about the person who owns this car. For one, it tells me that they're the type of person who would get a custom license plate...

Hey guys, I'm a levitator. That was awesome! If slightly vomit inducing if I try to play for long periods of time.

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
But is their address the house name?
I mean, custom license plates are for fun as well (also, it tells you the person is a slightly more proficient driver since there are requirements for one).

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
I suppose I'm not a naming kind of person. I don't even name my guitars, and those are the objects I'm closest to. Hell, the only named objects in the whole house are the computer-based things, because we need names for them for the network.
All our computer-based things have Discworld names. Like, the laptop is the Luggage. The iPad is the Dis-organizer.
