"Buy something? Like what?" Aleph asks, rather confused. She didn't even really have a room anywhere, she was just borrowing Ellen's.

Gaddiyel cries out in shock after the Witch finishes her incantation, doubling over and nearly hitting his head on the table in front of him. A barrage of images assaults his mind, so intense that they shut out his perception of the shop around him. After a long moment, though it feels like an eternity to Gaddiyel, he straightens up. He suddenly looks far older, as though the weight of the world had just been dropped on his shoulders. His gaze drifts off to the exit through which Plum had taken his pendant.

He slowly pulls himself to his feet. "I'm not sure what you intend to do with that pendant, but I advise you not to lose it. Or use it."

As he stands, he lets out a small sigh. "So many memories, but so little knowledge. It seems, as always, that the past alone is not enough to illuminate my future. I remain without direction." Gaddiyel shakes his head. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling. This is... disorienting. Thank you for your help, m'lady," he says, giving the Witch a small bow. "If there's nothing else, I suppose I'll be on my way."

Rot would maybe find the name less silly if he knew that Svarog - or Swaróg, to use the original spelling - was a Slavic god of, you guessed it, fire. The priest opens his mouth to speak another prayer, but Rot's command tied his tongue for a few precious seconds.
Anatolij blocks the sword strike and makes a quick slash at Rot's sword arm. It's clear that he's an expert fencer.
The other trooper gets around the combatants and gets behind Rot, where he aims a pneumatics-powered stake launcher carefully.

[Null Zone]

Rot is... not an expert fencer. He gets along through brute force. Oh yes, and cheating. The vampire doesn't even bother blocking the slash, letting the heated saber slice through part of his right arm. With his left and unarmed hand, he makes a fist and strikes out at Antolij's covered face. His punch is quite strong and infused with supernatural strength.

[Cursed Street]

The floating hound is made swiftly work of, its head and upper body going white, though the back end remains black. Still, it can barely move itself around with only two legs, so it might as well be out of the fight.

Gene's spheres of light once more fail to do any damage, but they do seem to stall the hounds significantly, especially as they are cast into the middle of them. They writhe around the light disrupting them, taking quite some time to pull around them and put themselves back together, giving Amil plenty of time to get off a few good shots and get nearer. It ends up taking the shots in the side, causing it to change targets and dart around towards Amil.

The two hounds are on the defensive for the moment, it seems.

Being on the defensive is certainly preferable to getting eaten by them. What would even happen to someone who gets nomed by a shadow hound thing? Would their meat just fall through the monster? Would it get turned into more shadow stuff?

Amil really doesn't intended to find out the answer to those questions.

Well regardless of the mysteries our Tyranid is glad that she managed to peel one of the critters off Gene. Hopefully the witch will be able to hold her own against one of the monsters. She's certainly done a great job of distracting and restraining them thus far!

Once the hound moves in close Amil will deftly side-step its lunge and rake it with her saber. Or at least that's what she's planning on doing. It might try something tricksy!

Chione gives a purr of amusement.

"We're not weaponizing the statues. Though that is a neat idea... I'm sure the Egyptians would've approved of cat statues that shot laser beams out of their eyes at pesky grave robbers."

Akila rolls her eyes.

"This is going to be a temple, not a tomb. We just need it to look a bit more like a temple and less like an animal shelter. A bit of gold leaf, some idols, and perhaps an altar or two will do. Fukayna, can you take one of the sla- er, worshipers and find some of that?"

The other cat looks reluctant to do any sort of work, but nods regardless and turns away to go visit some metalworkers or something. Luckily, the variety of shops that wind up in the Nexus means you can get almost anything you need somewhere Inside.

"I didn't mean weaponize them! I was just saying they could maybe forge the statues for us."
But it doesn't matter. There is without a doubt regular metalworkers here somewhere.

"... I'm not going to have to preach am I?"

Genevieve takes another few steps back. She's a mage.. You can't put enough distance between you and your enemies. "Stupefy!" She says more calmly. A red bolt flies from her wand toward the wolf attacking her. Should it hit it will hopefully stun her foe.

The bogeys look at where their tongues used to be and frown.

Kyinde got another idea from this. "Say, while we're doing that kind of thing, I've got another thing to show them." She cast a wave of frost at the bogeymen which, if effective, should be survivable, but not pleasant at all.

"See, I could've frozen you lot solid instantly if I wanted at this point, but I didn't feel like it. Now, you don't seem to care if we kill you, but if we don't, what will you do? Things aren't so easy then, is it, since we might just beat you again if you do anything nasty later."

The bogeys look at where their tongues used to be and frown.

Good. You rotten little bastards deserved it.

Demon Queen, still looking at the bogeys, nods towards Kyinde.

After a moment, the male races after Lorraine. The female, however, is trying to get a good scan from Alysha. Psychic scan, power scan, A few other things like that. No magic scan, though.

He should be able to catch up with her. She's not running, just moving purposefully.

When she realizes he's there, she stops and waits.

The power scanner does detect the magic power in the key, but only recognizes it as "unknown power." The female inquires about the key, and what it is, and what it does!

In her crazy space language. That's a whole lot of help.

It is possible, because of her nature, that Which knows exactly what the pendant is, or does. But she does not give away anything more than that.

"You are quite welcome, remember to return if you are ever in need of help."

Gaddiyel bows again before exiting the shop. Muttering an old prayer for Fate's guidance, he sets off to try to find a place for himself in this new world.

Fade enters the store. He isn't quiet firm with the Items and the stuff hanging around here and he keeps his shadow close to himself. After all he searches for Someone and since he isn't sure if it can be found he will ask the employee.

In any case, Legion looks around for a way out. If the way she came in is still available, she'll likely make her exit rather... hastily.

He will close the doors after Legion left and then he heads over to his desk. Seems like he don't mind what Legion did.

"Oh, hi." Adir looks at the Magbot, smiling a little sheepishly. "Do you have any... baby stuff?" He has no idea what else to call it.

"Yeah, we need, like, clothes and stuff. Anything for a new baby." Sakura adds rather cheerfully. It'd be very hard to ruin Sakura's good mood at this point.

"Right this way, sir and madam! We've got all sorts of baby stuff for babies! Babies with tails, babies without tails, babies with horns, babies with scaly skin, babies with smooth skin..."

The Magbot leads the way, continuing to spout nonsense about all sorts of babies that MagMart has things for. The list just seems to go on and on. At long last though, they get to Pupa Palace, a part of the store with vaguely regal wallpaper plastered all about, as well as tons of diapers (The MagDiaper brand, of course, has the cyborg's face on the back. When it's changing time, the notorious supervillain's evil grin fades away, and is replaced by a look of absolute horror), strollers, hover-strollers, cribs, baby clothes, pacifiers, classical music recordings, and specially trained floating, spherical Magbots, which follow the child around and emit a loud alarm whenever your baby inexplicably ages up a few years, gets near anything sharp, or attempts to stuff something potentially toxic in its mouth-hole.

"...babies with legs, babies with wheels, and even babies with tank treads! Oh look, we're here!"

These hounds don't seem particularly tricksy. They're not stupid, but they're certainly not on a human level of intelligence. As such, it only manages to dodge out of the way of Amil's saber rake, though it circles to the side and attempts to bite Amil's calf.

Genevieve, however, is still not having much luck. The stunning spell stops the hound for a moment, but as she likely knows, the spells tend not to fare as well against magical beasts, who find it all too easy to shrug it off. After a moment it shakes its head and snarls, then lunges in, snapping at her.

Well, once you settle in somewhere, you might want to make it a nicer place to live. Decorations, flowers and such can go a long way to make living somewhere enjoyable.

Anatolij bows his head slightly, causing Rot's fist to hit his helmet's reinforced top rather than his face. He staggers, but his skull is unharmed. He tries to drag the saber down Rot's arm.
The combat cleric shakes off Rot's suggestion and approaches the vampire, quickly, muttering: Svarog, lend me your flame. As he does so, the warhammer he's holding is wreathed in, unsurprisingly, flame.
The trooper keeps aiming. He won't fire into melee, so he's just covering the other two soldiers in case Rot tries to get away or manages to down one of them.
