4-panel layout! Nice! Not the way I was expecting this fight to go, I have to admit. Well-played, Giant. Well-played.

.. So, do we think Thog is dead?

I was always in Roy's corner for winning. Didn't expect it to happen like that. Well played, had to laugh at Roy's little victory-rant at the end.

    Very nice.

I really hope Thog's not dead, though a collapse like that is a pretty epic way to go out.

I doubt Thog is dead; he is just too popular.

However, kudos to the Giant for figuring out a way for Roy to use his Intelligence score. It was brilliantly done and I enjoyed every moment.

You know, in the last panel Roy was not only shouting at Thog, but everyone of us who thinks "intelligence┤s only use for a warrior is on behalf of a prestige class".
""Jeez, this dress! i look like a dominatrix""
(self-loathing): ""Actually , you look like a sorceress or something""

Comic title refers to both the specific column Roy hits and also the panel in which he figures it out? Nice meta-joke.

I loved the way Roy won this fight.

But what exactly did all the puppy trash-talk aim to accomplish? Thog was already laying the smackdown on Roy anyway, did all that trash talk somehow made Thog's rage run out faster? It certainly seems Roy was counting on that, considering he probably wouldn't be able to push Thog in position had he not been "confused".

This was just an awesome strip, and an even more awesome conclusion to a brutal fight.

First we see Roy selflessness as he concerns himself with the safety of innocent civilians rather than his own safety. Then we see him make use of an unexpected, yet rather common, strategy of making the villain destroy columns to colapse something heavy upon him. (the unexpectedness of it makes it so awesome)

Then, to punctuate the victory and visual masterpiece, a call-back to an earlier part of the fight. Truly an awesome spectacal.

I don't think he knew, but just needed someone with enough strenght to smash the pillars, clueless to what's gonna happen next, like a certain raging barbarian. =]

No, it was about using Thog's rage to break the pillars.

    This was a fantastic strip.
