Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
I'm not as good as the others, but I want to try making oots-style dnd stuff myself, so I tried filling out one of the things on the wishlist, undead.

The zombie. Hope it's good enough. Bald, because I don't know how to do hair on inkscape :p

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Nice work, folks! It is pleasant to see one of the actual Undead used in the strip, PINfont; it seems to make the whole enterprise more legitimate, somehow. Heh, Benjuri, my Githyanki up there had better watch out; your Githzerai looks like she could easily beat his bony butt!
Here is my attempt at another one from the original Monster Manual, the Groaning Spirit or Banshee, described as “the soul of an evil female elf.” Pretty scary stuff, eh, kids?

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Hey all,
I apologize for the glacial speed of my updates. Thanks for hanging in there and posting some new art. I'm still extremely grateful that people are creating art to put into the library. Great stuff, guys!
Thanks!

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
New Update! The previously posted images have been added to the lot and I've now got a new feature, the all-in-one download for the D&D images. At the top of the post where the art is, I've now linked to a ZIP that I've shared via Google Documents that includes all 94 current images from 10 different artists (I've got a breakdown of artists on my edited post by the link). For ease, I'll include the link here too: Version 1.0
Edit: Oh and Tannhaeuser, you've contributed by and far the most images to date with over 27% of the collection.Last edited by Dakaran; 2012-04-03 at 11:52 AM.

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Woo for the update! This is such a cool project. I'm working on a few others - somewhat more natural beasts since my campaign is going through a very primal area. Look for a panther and possibly a displacer beast (aka panther + tentacles) sometime in the future. Of course, I can palette swap the panther to be any other kind of cat.

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Thanks, guys — it’s gratifying to know you like my hateful, bloodthirsty, and poorly-conceived lot of vile fiends. If you folks want me to stomp the competition, I’m game. Attack, my outdated legions! I guess I will continue by depicting the vilest, cruelest, most repulsive monster of them all:

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Thanks for the want-list, Eonas!
Good question. As for using these for an avatar, they are not intended to be used as such as this isn't an adoption thread. However if you wish to contact the artist responsible for the image to see if they'd allow it then I imagine that would be fine.
Thanks!

Re: The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
So I know I haven't updated in a few days. Just throwing a little update to say that I'll be working to make nice print-and-play sheets of these images so that people who want to use them in hard copy form can just print and cut and not worry about editing/sizing/etc and just have ready to go minis.

Re: (Monster Minis!) The OotS-Style Monster Manual Art Project
Here's my attempt at a Fomorian. Yes, I took an existing Goliath drawing (credit to Tomb_Raven) as the inspiration and redrew trying to make it more lumpy and misshapen.
I'm open to suggestions - humanoids are apparently not my forte.
