Class Features: The following are the class features of the bear warrior.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A bear warrior gains proficiency with all claw and bite natural weapons that he gains through the Bear Form class feature.

Bear Form (Su): A bear warrior can transform into a bear (similar to the polymorph spell) while in a rage or frenzy. His only limit on the number of times per day he can assume a bear form is the number of times per day he enters a rage or frenzy, and the bear warrior returns to his own form once the rage or frenzy ends. The bear warrior retains the normal +2 bonus on Will saves and Ė2 penalty to Armor Class while raging, but the ability score bonuses granted by rage or frenzy are replaced by Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution bonuses appropriate to the bear form taken (see below). As normal for polymorph, the bear warrior gains the bear formís physical qualities (including size, movement, natural armor bonus, natural weapons, space, and reach), as well as any extraordinary special attacks possessed by the form (such as improved grab in the brown bear or dire bear form). The transformation lasts for the duration of the rage or frenzy. Unlike with the polymorph spell, a bear warrior doesnít gain the bearís Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores when he takes bear form, nor does he regain any hit points when he transforms. However, his current hit points increase due to his new Constitution, as normal for a rage ability.

Any bear warrior can assume the form of a black bear. While in black bear form, he gains a +8 bonus to Strength, a +2 bonus to Dexterity, and a +4 bonus to Constitution.

At 5th level, a bear warrior can choose between black and brown bear forms. While in brown bear form, he gains a +16 bonus to Strength, a +2 bonus to Dexterity, and a +8 bonus to Constitution.

At 9th level, a bear warrior can choose between black, brown, and dire bear forms. While in dire bear form, he gains a +20 bonus to Strength, a +2 bonus to Dexterity, and a +8 bonus to Constitution.

Rage (Ex): A 2nd level bear warrior receives an additional daily use of his rage or frenzy ability. At 7th level, he receives one more daily use of his rage or frenzy ability.

Scent (Ex): At 3rd level, a bear warrior gains the scent extraordinary ability in all forms.

Wild Rage (Ex): Beginning at 4th level, whenever a bear warrior begins his rage or frenzy ability, he grows a shaggy pelt of fur all over his body. (This applies to both his normal rage ability and his Bear Form ability). He receives an enhancement bonus to his natural armor bonus while raging equal to his class level (treat a form with no natural armor as having a natural armor bonus of +0)

Greater Rage (Ex): At 6th level, the bear warrior's rage ability improves. He now receives a +4 bonus to Will saves while raging, and a +1 enhancement bonus to all attack and damage rolls he makes with natural weapons, +1 per four character levels he has (Max +5 at level 16). His natural weapons are also treated as magical for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction while he rages. Finally, the bear warrior is no longer fatigued after his rage ends.

Bear Empathy (Ex, Su): At 8th level, the bear warrior gains the Wild Empathy ability, similar to a druid, but can only use it to improve the attitude of a bear. He makes a Charisma check with a bonus equal to his class level, with a DC similar to a Diplomacy check. If a bear warrior has 5 or more ranks in the Handle Animal skill, he receives a +2 synergy bonus to his Bear Empathy checks. This is an extraordinary ability. Additionally, the bear warrior may now continuously speak with animals, but only with bears, and he may do it in both his bear and nonbear forms. This is a supernatural ability.

Improved Bear Form (Ex): At 10th level, the bear warrior's bear form improves. The Size category of all bear forms increases by one step, to Large for black bears and Huge for brown and dire bears. Each bear form receives a +4 Size bonus to their adjusted Strength scores, as well as all other benefits and penalties of increased Size (higher penalty to AC/attack rolls, larger Size bonus to opposed Strength checks, improved damage dice with natural weapons, etc).

It's good that you're give options for which bear form you take, but is there any reason somebody would keep turning into a brown bear after they can become dire?

I can see it, if only to integrate with other bears better (Dire animals are monstrous beasts and probably wouldn't be able to merge with a sleuth as easily as a normal bear)

Mechanically speaking, there's no advantage to turning into a brown bear once you get dire bear form.

Does the natural armor bonus for Wild Rage stack with the bear form's natural armor?

Yes, I'll go ahead and clarify that.
