Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
Unholy crap. I thought defeating Xykon would be that much easier. Back to square one.

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
It looks like, the resistance thread will be rolled up quickly.
Anyone believing Xykon will be staying in Azure city any more days?

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
I like how you handled the Bearded Devils.
But yeah, holy crap, wasn't expecting the reprisal that fast.It is inevitable, of course, that persons of epicurean refinement will in the course of eternity engage in dealings with those of... unsavory character. Record well any transactions made, and repay all favors promptly.. (Thanks to Gnomish Wanderer for the Toreador avatar!)

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
I have a game with a friend of mine... The first one who announces that the new comic is up, wins.
He managed to beat me on this one while I checked less than half-hour ago
This is unexpected and epic by the way. I'm surprised the phylactery isn't already destroyed by resistance. Why are the protection spells on the amulet still active? Are they supposed to be permanent?Last edited by Quild; 2012-01-06 at 05:29 AM.

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
I'm shocked. Poor resistance people, squashed like a bug. They were no match for Redcloak with his summoning spells.

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
First time updated while I was on the page.
Wow, I considered this option briefly, but I thought it too unlikely to happen. Great storytelling, even if I hate this outcome.

Yes.
I was thinking 'no' after 824, now 'yes' sums it up.
Looks like Redcloak is more then enough to drop the other foot.
Go Redcloak.

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
Arrgghh! Nooo!
This was just TOO disappointing!
What a horrible scene!
My only question: Does Redcloak speak to the corpses, or is he aware that the resistance squad is approaching the headquarters? Did those keen elven senses alert the resistance, so they can escape with the phylactery?

Nice!

I finally had to stop lurking and register, so I could point out that the broken floor under the Osmium elemental made my day!

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
Ha! I knew it! I didn't think there was any point showing Xykon's phylactery being found if it was going to be lost again immediately anyway.
I do hope Redcloak manages to return it to Xykon, if he lets it slip away again...

Re: OOTS #825 - The Discussion Thread
Two comics in what? Two-three days? Yes!
Go Redcloak! Slay the elves!
Also, Osmium elemental! Perhaps even more of a reason for me to be exited than the turnabout.
Osmium is a fragile but hard heavy metal with a distinctive and strong smell caused by a poisonous oxide. This would indicate high slam attack damage, weakness to blunt weapons and stinking/poison cloud type abilities. All in all, a good choice.
Has anyone worked on any of the other proper elementals yet?Brewing a new setting (3.5 ed D&D). The setting is complete and ready to play.
Indeed, here is the recruitment thread for the first run.
The above post was probably snide, snippy, tongue in cheek and/or opinionated. Consult your sense of humour before vexation. If still vexed, attempt to cease giving a damn. Thank you for reading this public service bulletin.

I hope the elven commander can't run fast enough to get away.

An Osmium elemental.
Fine choice indeed Redcloak, your mastery of Chemistry awes me.
