Can Fiasco be played as a play by post?

Hey guys, my question is up there, and here is a little context. I've been looking at some of the more narrative role-playing games out there, and have found them to be really interesting. Problem is, my RL group has been really busy, with not having enough time to even meet up to play boardgames. So I was just wondering how feasible is it to play a narrative game over here, specifically, fiasco.

I've never done it, but it sounds like a nightmare.

ETA: I say this because of the weight immediate feedback plays in RL games. There'd need to be some ridiculous organization to make this happen pbp.

Would either skype or IRC be an option? They seem like they'd be way easier.
