So I'm making a curse specialist for a silly campaign of mine. Im cobbling together a spell list as we speak, and have noticed its pretty small and will need fleshed out. I'm making spells up for it, and am looking for potential curse ideas i may not already have thought of. Campaign is r rated, and meant to be funny so be as weird as you want.

Well, there's the Curse of the Missing Left Sock if you're not feeling too malignant.
However, if you want them to suffer for the remainder of their life, why not curse them with powerful regenerative properties combined with an incurable necrotising disease?

I wanted some variation. They'll need some to be more viable as a class.

Try the Pathfinder Witch, I think it's what you're looking for. If you want an entire class devoted specifically to curses, you might wanna hit the homebrew section.

I already have my class most of the way done. Was aiming less for eurocentric witch and more 70's hong kong/thai style black magic with less disgusting spfx and more perverse humor. Example spells include:

Your Own Personal Mob: From now on your victims presence blights crops and livestock. Peasants know this and will instinctively seek to kill him.

Yes Man: Your victim loses the ability to say no, and agrees with whatever anyone says, and will follow any order anyone gives him.

Why is There Napalm in My Urine?: Your victim now pees fire.

Wandering Monster: Your victim now has monsters randomly assault him.

Master of Your Domain:
Your victim is compelled to do acts he should know better than to perform in front of witnesses for the prosecution.

LET'S GET READY TO FUMBLE!: From now on when your victim rolls a Natural 1 on Attack Rolls, bad things happen.

Kardashian for a Day: Your victim becomes immediately and uncontrollably famous. This is not as good as he immediately believes.

Invisibility, Personal: Your victim permanently loses the ability to sense you in any way.

Ghost Dad: Anyone your victim kills rises the next day as an incorporeal undead hellbent on destroying him, or at least making his life miserable.

Everybody Loves Me:
Your victim become pronoid, believing everyone has his best interests at heart.

Hmmm... Well, if you want people to try and kill them on sight, curse them to look like the viewer's worst nightmares given flesh.
Particularly fun when they look in the mirror...

Other ideas...
Curse of Perpetual Darkness: The victim is followed by a permanent localised solar eclipse that covers them and whatever settlement they may be in at the time.

The Fool's Touch: Everything that the victims touches turns to fool's gold.

Misery: Takes the joy out of experiencing the world.
The victim is effectively rendered colourblind and tonedeaf; everything they eat is tasteless and their ability to smell is nullified.
Furthermore, they can feel nothing. No pleasure, no joy, not even anger. All they can feel is pain and sadness.

That which has been seen cannot be unseen: This curse prevents your victim from forgetting traumatizing or at least shocking images, sounds, etc. for the rest of his or her life and will have flashbacks to such things when least expected.

"World hates you": The victim percieves every action he witnesses as a mockery or insult towards himself.

Terrible luck:
Increases rate and severity of fumble rolls, or introduces them if they aren't used.

Luck theft:
On your next opposed roll, if you roll lower you switch dice results with the target.

Death curse:
On the next occasion that you can die- for whatever reason, you die.

A character in an old campaign I was in ended up with a "Dragon Magnet" curse. (Long story short, make sure you know who and what you're seducing...) Random dragons would pop up and attack him. Forgot to get a map and hurried back to get one? Attacked by a green dragon on the way back. Walking down a road in a temperate climate a summer day? Attacked by a white dragon. Heading to a town to restock? Attacked by a red dragon. Then his siblings. Then his mom. (I'm not kidding, every single one of those happened.)

Then there's the classic curse of impotency.

The Vampire Curse. The victim is convinced he's a vampire so refuses to go outside during daylight, is afraid of holy symbols, garlic, running water and silver. Will also try to bite random peoples necks and drink their blood.


I'd also obviously look at the nercomancy section of various D&D books, Feeblemind is pretty awesome for example. And baleful polymorph could definitely be refluffed to a curse.

How about Rose Colored Glasses. The target sees colors more vibrantly, tastes become richer, and everyone around appears pleasant and happy. In reality, his ability to influence the world around him is diminished. But he doesn't care, because he's, like, chill, and stuff. Duuude.

Some curses that I or fellow party members have lived under:

When given a gift, the victim has 24 hours to return a gift of equal or greater value, or BAD THINGS HAPPEN.

May not aid others without promise of reward.

May not accept payment for aiding others.

Upon meeting someone for the first time, must insult them.

May not call anyone by their proper names.

May only turn left.

May not eat alone.

Intensely disliked by waterfowl.

Intensely liked by waterfowl.

R rated curses? This could turn out bad... or well, depending :D.

Grotesque Attraction - Creatures with a below average Charisma score are instinctively attracted to the cursed character. Sentients will form fanclubs dedicated to them and harass them for not behaving to whatever standard they hold them to.

Fatigue - Any strenuous action fatigues the target. This can include combat, walking moderate distances, and staying awake for more than 8 hours. Often paired with Insomnia.

Insomnia - Target is unable to get a restful night's sleep. It takes twice as long for target to receive the benefits of rest. EG. A human wizard would require 16 hours rest to recover spells.

Curious Change - After having sex, the target changes gender. This can be repeated.

Bond of Servitude - Target feels a sudden urge to become the servant of the first person they see when waking up. They will insist on being called 'Sebastian' or 'Jeeves' if male, or 'Consuela' or 'Maria' if female. The effect will last until they next wake up, at which point it resets.

Curse of the Paranoia Phantom:

The victim is attacked by a phantom within 1d4 days of being cursed. They are also plagued by the sense that they are being watched. From that point on, every time the character makes an unnecessary perception check, (spot when there's nothing to see, listen when there's nothing to hear) have them save against the curse's original DC. If they fail, the phantom appears and attacks them, remaining for d6 rounds for every 3 caster levels. (to a limit of 5d6) If the phantom is defeated, the victim will not have to worry about it for 2d6 days.

If the victim hasn't figured out how the curse works and makes a spot or listen check specifically to see if the phantom is there, it immediately appears behind them and remains for the maximum possible number of rounds. If it is defeated under these circumstances, there is no 2d6 day grace period.

Curse of True Attraction:
The target is attracted to people that are "beautiful" on the inside, regardless of their appearance.

The other side of the mirror:
The target sees invisible creatures, ghosts, etc (things that cannot be seen) but cannot see normal living creatures.

Witch's Condemnation: Anyone who locks eyes with the target of this curse instantly becomes aware of the worst thing that the afflicted person has ever done.

Curse of Nature's Bounty. The target can't wield or wear anything that has been modified or enhanced in anyway by hand.

So this would restrict the target to only wielding improvised weapons/shields. Armour would be a no-no and jewelry is pretty much nothing.

The target becomes so charitable they give everything they own away, rendering themselves destitute.
A great way to remove political or mercantile rivals.

I made that the curse that came with a homebrew major artifact.
The One Other Ring. Basically the opposite of the One Ring.
One Ring to love them all,
One Ring to miss them,
One Ring to hug them all,
And in the sunshine kiss them,
Forged by the Good King on his Comfy Throne.
Yeah, not very serious, but it was fun for a little while.

I hit the player character's wife with this in a game one time. Oh man! He was all like "Take me instead!"
